We were pleasantly surprised when we walked up and saw it is a Michelin star restaurant. The staff greeted us warmly and explained every course to us. We were the only party in the restaurant which made the experience that much more special. The restaurant is very modern and has an open kitchen. I loved watching the chefs prepare the food. The food itself was incredible every course and wine delighted my palate. This was definitely one of the best culinary experiences I've had to date. The village has a very cool old church, Church of São Salvador de Paderne and was resisted as a national monument in 1912. The structure is from the Romanesque period and has undergone restorations over the years. Its a very nice post meal stole.

You can't go wrong for a 2 plate meal which bread, drinks, and desert for 8.50 euros! Where else could you get a full meal like that? The scallops with trout eggs drizzled in olive oil and a lightly salted were addicting. You then would use your bread to clean off your shelf. Everything was delightful. The steak was immense! The ceramic plate it was served on was still hot which allowed you to flip your meat around to keep cooking if so desired.
