This is a great place for large groups...they have a large open dining area where the tables can be moved to accommodate most any party. The staff here is great and food comes fairly quick. 2 stars because the service was great, but unfortunately their food really sucked. Husband and I both got different dishes and each had super stale taco shells/tortillas. The seasoning they use tastes specifically like McCormick Taco seasoning, which is disappointing when you are expecting a more authentic taste when you go to a restaurant. Menu is not laid out the best on the combo platters. There's not a lot of flavor either especially on the fajitas. Service is 50/50 but overall is NOT worth the price. I'm sitting here at home looking at the dumpster fire of food I just picked up from Posado's . The tamales were made apparently a couple of days ago, and kept warm under a heat lamp...I asked for extra sour cream sauce, and none was put into the bag... the DID PUT EXTRA SALSA, however????!? After getting a pretty decent meal there last saturday, I was expecting it to be good today, ...oh well. I will try Posado's on Bert Kouns to see if they are any better. read more

We are currently living in Texas but When we come in to Shreveport/Bossier City area this is our first stop. I'm happy to say food is still as good as I remember. Our waiter "Brandon" was the best. Consistent food at a great price. I love coming here for lunch. I can usually get lunch for ~$10 with tip, so it's barely higher than most fast food meals. As long as I can spare about 30 minutes to eat, I'll be fine. Staff is always nice, though sometimes slow (that's what kept them from getting 5 stars), but the food is always amazing. I was a little surprised when we had to wait when the place was empty. They said they had to get caught up on their customers. Their tortillas were freshly made and very warm. I'd definitely skip this place if you're in Bossier, LA. A few co workers and I wanted to grab some dinner. The reviews were from a couple years ago so we disregarded them and gave this place a try. Definitely not worth it. It's one of those places you eat at crossing your fingers that it's just decent enough to be satisfied, and then decide you leave thinking "Yeah, NEVER coming back here again." The food: Chips and Salsa- Chips were warm, but very thin. I appreciate the warmth, but you end up with more broken pieces on the bottom of the tray than actual chips. Salsa was nothing special. Del Rio Combo Platter- Might have been a good dish if it wasn't completely smothered in what they call "chile verde", which was really just guacamole. *BEWARE* The amount of "chile" they dump onto the plate is ridiculous. I couldn't even see my chile relleno under the sauce. Ask for it on the side or I suggest skipping it all together. After literally scooping the sauce off I found the taste to be decent enough. Like I said, it was drenched in sauce so the taste may have been diluted... VERY diluted. The amount of rice was disappointing. Either it was buried under the sauce as well or the beans swallowed up half of it because the portion was very small and tasted bland. It came with a "fried taco" but the amount of lettuce on top made it look more like a salad. The PLATE was hot, the food was luke warm at best. Service: Our server couldn't tell us about anything on the menu. We asked about the platter, the Chicken Ixtapa(I think that's what it was called) and some other dishes. She actually picked up a menu and read the description on it to us. Then proceeded to tell us that she'd been working at the restaurant for over a year and had no idea what those dishes were! We were "making her work hard today". Mind you, all we did was ask about what kind of beef was one of the dishes, to which she responded "Um.. Im not sure... I think it's ground beef." Sorry we asked! We went with the chicken plate instead and asked that if it came with Pico de Gallo to please have it on the side and her exact response was "I don't know what that comes with so whatever it comes out with I'll ask the guys to put it on the side". She forgot to bring us forks, we had to ask politely a second time and then remind her. We had told her in the beginning that it would be 3 separate checks yet brought out 2 and said "I must've misunderstood you". How do you misunderstand "It's going to be 3 separate checks, please."? After finally separating them she took our cards, one co worker paid with cash. After taking an order and entering it into the system she returned with The change and said "Um, I didn't have enough change to complete the $20 so if you're going to tip me can you just take it out of that?" I was completely shocked, but stood quiet while my co worker politely said "No problem I'll do that". Being a server myself, I would never say something like that. Especially after giving such horrible service. Even so, we tipped her. I am a server so I understand how it feels when you receive no tip when you give your best, but THIS... This was the WORST server experience I've ever had. She should not have received a tip in my eyes, nor the job she has if she is going to be treating people like that. Bad service, good food is doable. If it's worth it. Bad food, horrible service? WASTE OF MONEY. Do yourself and your wallet a favor, listen to the reviews. They aren't exaggerating. We tried again and the service was horrible and the food was too. the manager begged us to try again and said he would comp the meal. Visited this place recently with a big group & had a very poor experience. The service was terribly slow and took forever to just take our drink order. There were a couple of young kids (under 3 yr old) with us and we wanted to get their orders out faster than the adult orders, but it all took so long that the kid and adult orders came out together (an hour later).d When we did get the food, it tasted like it was a microwave dinner - some of the meals were cold.I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon. read more

Absolutely love this place! Tortilla soup is really good. The chicken fajitas with the butter sauce is so amazing I want to drink it lol. We love Posado's Cafe, but this location was not as clean as others that we've visited. Additionally, the vanilla ice cream machine was broken and so only chocolate was able to be dispensed. We started out with the Salsa sampler, which consisted of freshly made tortilla chips, queso, bean dip, guacamole and salsa verde. Next we both had the Cancun dinner. It comes with your choice of a chicken, cheese or beef Chile relano, your choice of a beef, pork or chicken soft taco and 2 of the following sides: Mexican rice, refried beans, charro beans, grilled vegetables or chicken tortilla soup. I selected the rice and twisted my soup in a to go container. The portions were generous, the food was delicious and our server Moe (who's also the bartender) provide excellent service. After arriving and getting sat at a booth to my request it took two other servers greeting me before my server ever came over. When I got my drink finally and order placed it came out fairly quick but once my drink was empty I had to wait until I was done with my meal before she ever brought another. While I can understand spotty service when you are very packed as being service industry myself, this was such a let down when my server had 4 tables including myself. While other tables seemed to be getting all of the attention and then me none it was a let down. The food came out it was tasty and very filling but the service was such a let down. Even the table next to me was complaining that it was taking so long for everything. At the end of my meal when I paid with a card she was looking over my shoulder as a I was trying to place my tip, which is something that is very rude in my opinion while I know servers work for tips as I serve myself I have never looked at a receipt until my guests were gone. Call me crazy, but I liked the food. I had the Paco: a chichen enchilada,chile relleno,and two chicken flautitas served with rice and two sides for $11.98. The floors are concrete, and a little dirty, but the whole place is big and intended for serving a ton of people. I have a 2 yr old so I was glad the atmosphere is loud. The hostess needs to either tuck in their shirts or at least pull it down over the tops of their pants instead of showing all the skin!!! Visiting Bossier for a concert. Love Mexican food so decided to check it out. Place was packed with people, (usually a good sign), wait time wasn't bad but wife and i decided to sit at bar.
