Along with exhibitions we fulfill our mandate through educational activities which encourage active dialogue between the Gallery audience and the visual arts; including lectures, films, workshops, artist talks and tours. Student educational programs are provided both in the Gallery and in the classroom. Glass Blowing Gallery extraordinaire - I am a lover of blown…read moreglass and have seen many studios across Canada and abroad. This studio produces some of the nicest pieces I have seen in terms of quality, selection, colour, variety of form and is a highlight of the County artisan group. It is located just off the beaten path, just 200 meters off Hwy 33 on Hwy 62 towards the Sandbanks and down a gravel road. The owner/artisan will do a demonstration for a group which fascinates adults and children alike. And even if you cannot afford or have need for a piece, just to look at the various pieces in the gallery is entertaining and I often buy a Christmas bulb for $25 or $30 for a personable gift to give to someone that has everything. The prices are reasonable given the quality and uniqueness. This is not a production shop. A great sidetrip and not far out of the way. I have been going there for 20 years.
