We spent the entire day driving to NC and were looking for a cozy place to have dinner. My husband spotted Post 25 while driving and said it should be good if it's that crowded! He was right! Service was impeccable, and food hit the spot! My cocktail was refreshing: "Don't be a prick" (pear, almond extract and vodka) and John had his beer: Highland Gaelic Ale.

Post 25 is a South Asheville/Arden staple restaurant. It's always busy.... Great food & great atmosphere. Feels like a true local joint. I recently had the meatloaf and it was fantastic. It came with mashed potatoes & green beans that were perfect sides. Typically I'll get something Tiger Sauced, but I'm glad I switched it up.

Stopped by for a delicious gyro and room temp fries. You can tell the gyro was sliced freshly in house. But I have gotten hotter fries delivered by Uber Eats! Cool atmosphere.

I got the seasonal salad which was quite good. The drinks I got was also quite good and it seemed like they had a creative menu. I will come back to try more!

Post 25 Kitchen and Lounge was a great spontaneous date night. When we arrived, the parking lot was packed, but we were immediately sat at a table on the porch outside and there was no wait for food or drink. We started off with the Carolina Crickets that we read so much about here on Yelp, definitely the best jalapeño poppers we've ever had! I enjoyed the Salmon Santorine and my husband got the classic Ruben. I also treated myself to a Spicy Red Maraca and Post Potion #9 (delightful champagne and lavender cocktail). The portions were so generous, there was enough to take home. Ashley was our server and worked hard to make sure our every need was met.

Great atmosphere, great food and service. Attention to order details, always recommend a great dish for my mood. One of my many favorite local spots. The tiger wings or shrimp simply delicious all the time at any time!

We started with the fried green tomatoes -- and I can confidently say they were the best I've ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served over the most delicious, creamy grits that I'm still thinking about. That combination alone is worth the visit. For my entrée, I went with the fried chicken, paired with mac and cheese and bacon green beans. The chicken was golden, crispy, and juicy with so much flavor in every bite. The mac and cheese was rich and comforting, and the bacon green beans added the perfect savory balance to the plate. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and full of that true Southern flavor you hope for when dining in Asheville. Generous portions, bold flavors, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I would absolutely come back again -- and honestly, I'm already looking forward to ordering those fried green tomatoes again.

The restaurant was very dark, tables being lighted by a single light atop and a candle. Not my favorite setup but I guess it's for the romance? The menu was pretty small, mostly seafood and the occasional burger. Higher prices than an Applebees but you're also paying for better quality food "fresh never frozen" I got the slow roasted chicken over smashed potatoes, it was humongous, like they plated me the whole bird! The sauce was delicious, as were the potatoes. My plate came to $30 Our server Johnny (?) was great! VERY informed on the menu, read us off a whole list of specials that aren't listed on their main menu. Prices are above average, so I was hoping for something a bit more unique on the menu, but most dishes felt fairly standard. Still, the food quality was solid, and overall it was a good experience.

We went with the club sandwich with fries and the lasagna with a Caesar salad. Both were delicious. Portions are very good. Neither of us could finish the meals! Though we came at lunch time, we were provided with the dinner menu (so I guess it's all-day dinner on weekends). I ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes as a starter, which is served with feta cheese and a balsamic reduction. The tomatoes were thickly cut and ate a bit clunky. Because of their size, I think there was some steaming action going on, as the tomatoes were soggy on the inside. I always enjoy a balsamic reduction, and liked the flavor on the dish overall. They were heavy-handed with the feta. This was the first time that I had fried green tomatoes served with feta - I'm used to a fresher topping such as a corn salsa. Regardless, the batter on the fried green tomatoes was delicious - I have high confidence that any of their battered dishes would be equally satisfying! I opted to order the bruschetta flatbread as my entree. It was loaded with toppings - tomatoes, spinach, goat cheese, grilled chicken, and more of that tasty balsamic reduction. It's typically served as a starter, so this is another dish that's great for sharing. My sister ordered the homemade southwestern chicken soup. This is definitely a southern-style soup - think cream-based... almost dip/queso-like. It was also served with tortilla chips as a garnish. She also ordered a side of the rice pilaf which was a generous serving size for a side - we thought it would be a small bowl size, but it was a whole plateful. However, it was way too salty. One of their signatures is their Gyro Pita Sandwich, which comes with a side of fries. We were able to swap the plain French fries for their sweet potato fries, which are always a hit. The menu describes this dish as the real deal and hey- no complaints! The gyro was tender and flavorful and comes with tzatziki. This is a solid dish. Service was friendly but not super present. We would have to flag our waitress down for drink refills and weren't really checked on once the food came out. It's a pretty casual but also busy place, so I'm not expecting to be waited on hand and foot, but they could bump up the attentiveness a hair. Food and ambiance were good overall... nothing amazing, but it's a safe bet. Stone Ridge Tavern has a good variety of dishes offered on the menu. I recommend this place for large groups - there's something for everyone - and I was pleased with portion sizes.

We actually picked this place at random when we went to a local pizza place down a dirt road that sold out by 6pm...gonna have to make sure we make it back there next time for sure. However, this place was a pleasant surprise. Menu is a bit intimidating, just pick some items and go and you'll be fine. It's one of those "order while standing up and then we'll bring your food out while you get your own drinks" type of places which I'm not a huge fan of. I got the Sunny Side burger...somehow or maybe I built one, can't remember. I remember being sad I forgot to get bacon especially after trying my girlfriend's bacon from her burger....GET THE BACON!!! IT'S NOT CRAPPY BACON BUT AMAZING!! They were able to accommodate her gluten allergy with a gluten-free bun but the fries could have cross-contamination as there is not a dedicated gluten-free fryer. She risked it anyways and for good reason (also she never got sick but your results and sensitivity may vary!), she wanted these jalapeño bacon cheese fries and wow were they good! They had picked onions on them which seemed odd but it worked...it worked really well. I couldn't stop eating her fries. As far as fries go...not everyone needs to order them. They give you way too many, not Five Guys too many, but way too many for an average eater with a big fat burger. Not one person in our group finished their burger and fries. If I was home I would have taken them home to my chickens and I don't think even they could finish them all in one sitting. The other thing I didn't like was how they do seating...I had to sit at the bar with my kids because all of the tables were taken up by 1 or 2 people when they could seat six. We saw several people come in after us and one person from their group would go claim a table while their group was in line ordering, preventing the people ordering ahead of them from finding a spot. Having a hostess seat people would make this place five stars.
