Wow! Anthony is AMAZING. What a great help he was in tracking down a missing mailpiece. He checked in with me as we sought to resolve the issue and remained on top of it until it was sorted. Tried to mail out an international package but the woman watching the store seems disinterested as soon as I walk in, did not even say hello and unwelcoming face. I said I will mail a package internationally, and she immediately said: "Are you sure you want to start the process? It's a lot of work and expensive because you have to pay tariff. I said I was willing to pay whatever amount, however she said it is not worth it and her attitude turned me off so I just left. Will just mail directly to USPS or FedEx or UPS. Total rip off. My husband mailed a medium priority mail package- which should have cost $21.05 according to the usps website. He was charged $38! I called, the lady was very rude and told me they can charge whatever markup they want, and if I don't like it to use the post office! Great idea. We never had issues in the past few years. I usually just send letters or packages here, so it didn't occur to me Postal Annex provides other handy services as well! My husband and I came in on a Saturday, no appointment, and Kama helped us with our passport renewal. She took the photos, cut them to size, made sure we had a check for the fees, and packaged them off for mailing. She was efficient and very knowledgeable about what form needs to be completed, what to send, and where to send it. She even has the zip code memorized for the address! We felt confident we'd done everything correctly and it was great having an experienced person confirm we weren't missing anything. The whole process took less than 15 minutes. Cost for passport photos was $14.95 per person. Another great thing about Postal Annex-- they will gladly take your used shipping boxes (from Amazon etc) and packaging materials (air pillows, etc) for re-use with other customers. How awesome is that?! Saves you the hassle of breaking them down and disposing of them yourself, saves money for someone else (I'm assuming they don't charge people when re-using materials), helps the environment-- win win win! read more

The service provided by this store is great. They care that your package arrives on time and safely regardless of what you wish to ship. I recently had to ship some fragile keepsakes to NC and was provided all the shipping options & costs. In the end I asked for their best recommendation which I received and the shipment got to NC with no damage. The store is very neat and stocked. The hours to me are extremely reasonable. Highly recommended. Best notary service I have ever had. Vimal helped me with a number of foreign legal documents needed for court filings and estate/trust processing. After some other notaries were reluctant to handle legal documents from outside the USA, I took them to PostalAnnex in Livermore where Vimal processed them with such precision and care that the law firm commented that his work was perfect. read more

I must say I am somewhat surprised by all the positive reviews. Vimal was thorough and I do understand that there is a need to up charge so that they can pay their bills as a business. However, they were charging me for 40 pounds of freight when in reality it was actually 20. They said the shipping alone was $130 but it was $80 at FexEx. I was buying insurance and was told that without the manufacturer packaging FedEx would not honor the insurance I purchased even though the item that was 90% of the cost (MacBook Air) was in the original packaging. I truly felt like they were using fear tactics and essentially hustling me into making a quick decision. They kept pushing the blame to FedEx (not a great look) And when I finally mentioned to him it sounds like I'm at a disadvantage using you over just driving to FedEx they disagreed. The interaction made me so uneasy that I decided to go directly to FedEx. I was charged somewhere in the realm of $175 including packaging, shipping, and the insurance they said FedEx would not honor. I just walked out of FedEx with a higher level of insurance, a smaller box, and confirmation that the policy mentioned regarding original packaging is thrown out the window when FedEx is compensated for packaging. I was also told that I would be paying $40-$50 at FedEx for packaging. I was only charged $13. I walked out a FedEx having received a much better customer service and spending $103 compared to $175. I won't be giving them my business at any point and I'm sorry I even walked in there to begin with. read more

This is the best postal service store I've ever encountered- and that's down to Vimal who offers exceptional customer service. During Covid he's been scrupulously careful and the service has been outstanding. He's been diligent to notify all his customers about his hours- and possible changes. He has always- even before Covid- been extremely prompt to let a customer know they had a package waiting. If you need any postal services- THIS is the place to go. Fantastic establishment. The employees are knowledgeable and are super helpful as well as friendly. I've come here several times to get live scans, notary signatures, and returns. The employees seem eager to help out and can handle random rush hours well. You will not feel ignored when you come here during heavy traffic. A trustworthy place to handle whatever related needs you have. The live scans can take a bit to finish but it looks like they have members with over ten years of experience doing them pursuant to the hanged license/certificate. read more

At my old spot in Modesto, I had a great mail place in the shopping center across the street. This time around they're right next door to my complex. Had to ship something out and was greeted warmly by Vimal who was working that day. He welcomed me back to Livermore and asked me some questions to get to know me a little better then we got to the business of shipping out a return I got for Christmas. Instead of having me purchase a new padded envelope, he found one that the owner brought in that I could use (recycle, reuse, renew!). This saved me some money and he was even conscientious to provide to me the shipping options that were the most cost effective! PostalAnnex is SUCH a great business. I have a book blog so I am ALWAYS receiving advance reader copies of books to review. Some of those authors can be le cray-cray so having a P.O. box is a must! The boxes here are a great deal, and Vimal (I think he's the owner) calls personally to let you know when a package has come. It's really helpful, because then you don't have to keep checking back and can incorporate the trip to PostalAnnex in your list of errands for the day. Postal is very efficient, cost-effective, clean, and just over all one of the best package delivery places around. This place is great! After waiting in line for 15 minutes in the awful Post Office up the road to get a passport photo taken, it's finally my turn and I am told they don't start taking passport pictures for 20 more minutes. Really? So weird. I looked for a better place to get my passport picture taken and send in my passport renewal forms, because I couldn't stand to be in that dungeon of a Post Office for another minute. Thanks to Yelp I found this PostalAnnex+ just a few blocks up the road! Such a better experience! No line, got my passport photo taken right away, and everything mailed in.
