If you have no familiarity with the way banks and electronic payments work here, the additional confusion of translating from German makes it extra fun. This point alone is what sold me, but the service when I've had to go in to this location has been great. Always helpful and courteous.

Man wird an die Fachberaterin wietergeleitet, die aber mehrere Sachen nicht erledigen kann und bei Beschwerde nur genervt reagiert. Also ich z.B. fragte, warum es fuer bestehende Kunden nur schlechtere Sparkonditionen als fuer Neukunden gibt: "Das machen ja alle so, Stromanbieter, Telefonanbieter etc." Zu sagen, dass man die fragwuerdigen Praktiken der anderen teilt sind keine angemessene Antwort. Es ging so weiter. Nichts von dem, was ich erledigt haben wollte, konnte erledigt werden -- und das mag nicht in der Verantwortung der Fachberaterin gelegen haben, aber ihre schnippischen Antworten machten den Besuch zu einer wirklich aergerlichen Angelegenheit.

After 10 days, the basket had still not arrived, and the DHL tracking website was still referring that the basket had remained at the post-station. On May 20, and with my wife expecting to give birth (but without us having a baby sleep-basket) I had to contact DHL by email. On May 22, I received an answer which was saying that SINCE MAY 13, they didn't know what happened to my basket, and they had removed my item from their track list (although it was appearing at their website existing on the depot), and that I should contact the sender to start an investigation. Fortunately, AMAZON responded with excellence, sending a replacement with one-day-delivery to my home. The fact that DHL did not inform me but only after I sent an email, although they had missed the parcel since May 13, is for me totally ridiculous. My wife meanwhile was expecting to give birth, and we had no baby basket to sleep the baby. Where is DHL's customer service? Simply, it is non-existent or someone should pray that everything goes well. The ignorance demonstrated by DHL is equivalent of third-world service. That is all I can say about the worst of delivery service providers.

It was mailed almost 4 weeks ago & finally traced to Frankfurt with no record after that. We did NOT know that DHL packet (only option) was NOT the same as the global DHL Express which I have had great success with, when mailing boxes from England. Evidently, the German Post Office owns DHL & supposedly uses the US Mail service. What a waste of €57 Euros!

The people who were here are nice and efficient, and although I have been told that sometimes the wait here can be super long, in my experience, my entire visit (usually to mail something or pick up a package) only lasts 5 minutes tops. Maybe I just am lucky with my timing. The building itself is all brick, and stretches along the block - it reminds me of the Armory back in San Francisco, although the uses of these two buildings are much much different. There is also the same woman on the steps every day, asking for change or what have you. She reminds me of the "feed the birds, tuppence a bag" lady from Mary Poppins. Luckily, there aren't too many pigeons hanging around.
