It was simple and delicious, with two perfectly poached eggs and nice thick bacon! I also had a tea which was good! The food was piping hot. Service was good, and the staff was very nice! This was a great choice. I grabbed a cinnamon roll, and ordered a cup of their filtered coffee (they no longer offer Chemex, sadly) and an order of poached eggs on toast with a side of bacon. This was something new for me, and I loved the simplicity of it. The sourdough toast was amazing, and the poached eggs went with it perfectly. High marks for the bacon also! Service was quick, and everything was brought out promptly. This is a nice coffee shop, plenty of seating, and a quiet place to have a conversation or get some work done. I know the people in the UK love their tea, but I would happily be a regular here if I lived in Belfast.

I got the Mystery Mix tea and the Belfast Brew coffee, along with a brown apple cinnamon scone and a square of Fifteen, a Northern Irish dessert made of 15 digestive biscuits, 15 marshmallows, 15 glace cherries, condensed milk, and desiccated coconut. The drinks, pastries, and laid-back atmosphere of the cafe made it a nice place to relax and chat. The biggest highlight, however, was talking with the friendly, hospitable volunteers, who made this truly a welcoming place for everyone!

This is the only flaw with Ground, it's often very busy and I occasionally give it a miss as I know I'll not get a table on certain days (e.g. Saturday). Despite this, there's a wonderful mellow ambience to Ground that's delightful - the sort of unique soothing vibe only found in bookstores and art galleries. There's a mix of comfortable sofa seating and lunch style tables ideal for groups. There is a big queue at lunch time but the capable waiting staff work through it admirably.
