I am a big fan of Potbelly and am a little critical of each store. This one is pretty, pretty good. The service was very quick and accurate and they had Cherry Coke in the pop machine! There is plenty of seating and they even had a hand sanitizer when you walked in. The only thing I didn't check is to see if they had wifi. read more

I've been to this location a few times now. It's fine - not amazing, not terrible. The place runs really really hot inside so I always order ahead and pick up instead of dining in. There are a few parking spots available in the "parking lot" for the place. They're usually full, so you'll need to find street parking. Food is fine. Staff friendly enough. read more

As much as I would like to believe our negative experience was a one time thing, after reading other 1 and 2 star reviews, I realized it's just the way they operate here. The staff is considerably rude and incredibly slow. The lady asking for customer orders had to continually go back and reconfirm with people AFTER she had taken the order of 2-3 other people in line. She had a difficult time remembering more than one sandwich, which is fine, but then don't take 5 orders at a time. Also, yes, they do let your sandwich sit after going through the toaster for 3+ minutes. My husband wanted to ask to reheat them, but I was scared they would be even more angry than they already were. Their entire ordering process, which they guarantee is 8 minutes or less, took over 15 on a Saturday afternoon... and was done with an attitude the whole time. We won't be back. read more

This potbelly has always been such a nice environment to be at after finishing my classes. Me and my Friends come to this Potbelly all the time and love the food. The manager Yvette is normally behind the cash register and always has a smile. She likes to strike up a conversation with everyone and really makes the regulars feel seen. I don't really get the bad reviews, I've never had any issues with the people working here or the food. Normally I love this potbelly. However, they have a new worker (or atleast I've never seen him) who was terrible. I ordered 3 sandwiches to which he asked if they were all going to have the same toppings. I told him to, to which he sighed and was obviously annoyed. So I gave him the desired toppings for each sandwich as they came to him. The first one he got perfectly, however instead of handing it to me( or placing it on the counter) he threw it onto the counter. The second sandwich was so have no peppers, which he ignored and then threw it again. The thirst was to have very easy peppers, he decided to add EXTRA peppers. I came in here on a Friday afternoon to get lunch. The place was pretty empty so I was helped out quickly. This was my first time at Potbelly, so I wasn't quite sure how it worked or what I wanted to order. To be honest, the employee who was responsible for making my sandwich seemed like she wanted to rush me out and gave me the impression that she was annoyed that I wasn't 100% familiar with the options Potbelly offers. That being said, the price of the sandwiches is great compared to other sandwich shops and the sandwich itself (I ordered the TKY) was delicious. Not sure if I'll return though. read more

Not only did my server(Irene) have an attitude she also forgot to give me my soup(it wasn't because the place was busy because I was the only one there). I only noticed this fact once I reached home so I decided to call them. On the phone I proceeded to explain the situation to then be told, "Oh yeah I forgot to ring you up for it." I was a little stunned because she said it like nothing was wrong. I thought there was something that could be done and I asked her to then be told that I should've told her to ring up the soup. Not too many things excite me more than living behind a Potbelly. This particular location has the typical GREAT Potbelly product. As a bonus, there is a spacious back patio. Unlike Jimmy John's this location stays open until 11PM. Typical clientele: Dudes coming back from a workout at Webster Bally's. Lots of them get their protein fix with chili, the new(er) salads, and the meatball sammy (every time I go someone orders this). Also, many movie-goers will swing by here pre and post flicks. Minus a star for the service. Everyone who works here seems high and functions at a snail's pace. Yesterday, one guy dropped my sandwich on the ground right after it made the long journey down the conveyor belt. I had to move back in line and wait all over again. Not cool. read more

So, twice now, I and a friend have ordered Potbellies delivery. Blasphemer! some would say but it's close by and good! I had a Roast Beef the first time and the Chicken Salad Salad w/ Oreo Shake today. They never fail to deliver..haha. And the deliveries were both in under 45mins! Going to Madison I bought into the whole chains are evil, support the mom and pop's, yadda yadda yadda... But, I'll admit, I ate at Potbelly there and I eat at Potbelly here (even though there are far more mom and pop restaurants here). Given the choice of Love's or Potbelly, I am going Potbelly every time. I love the chicken salad with hot peppers and mustard. So fantastic. I love Potbelly's. Their sandwiches are so delicious and tantilizingly amazing that you just wanna drop to your knees and thank God repeatedly for having bestowed upon you a gift so meaningful, so wonderful, so scrumptious... I get their Italian, loaded up with hot peppers. Top that off with some Baked Lays and some water (non-carbonated items go better with hot peppers, in my opinion) and you have the perfect meal. And it's quick. Can't beat that! The decor is cool. It's predominantly wooden so it has an old-time feel to it. Very warm and inviting for a quick-stop restaurant slash sandwich shop (Oh yes. I wrote out 'slash' instead of using an actual slash. Sue me.). And it's right by the movie theater so it's a great place to eat before or after you catch a flick. So go here. Go here now. The sandwiches here are sooo good! They toast them up so the french bread gets crunchy and the cheese gets gooey and everything in the sandwich just kind of melds together uuggh, so good! Their shakes are really good as well...I love the little cookie they put on the straw...so cute. I'm not as wild about Potbelly as I used to be, but I still like their sandwiches more than other sandwich chains, such as Subway or Quizno's. I still occasionally crave their sandwiches, particularly their A Wreak sub. I figured I may as well review this one, since I went here last night for the first time in years. Not to mention, I needed a break from often getting Mexican food late at night, as much as I love the nearby Taco and Burrito House at Fullerton/Ashland. In addition, before the Webster Place theater went downhill in the later years of Lowes Theaters ownership(am planning to give the now-Kerasotes owned theater a chance, but that's for another review), I went to this location very often. My favorite Wreck sub still tasted pretty good all these years later, despite my disappointment in them raising the prices for their subs above $4, to $4.19. However, I decided to overlook this and round up to 4 stars, since the staff was nice enough to give me 2 free cookies on my way out(and when I was about to purchase 1 cookie to go). Good to see I did save them from throwing out 2 perfectly good cookies, but sad that they probably more than likely still dumped out several of their perfectly-good cookies they made earlier the same day. (and that I could tell the staff probably would've allowed me to take more than 2 cookies to go) Hopefully, the staff at least enjoyed a few of the remaining cookies, so they didn't have to throw as many out. I got down on Potbelly when there were only three locations, (which doesn't seem like it was that long ago) Webster and Clybourn, Lincoln, and Midway Airport. Now this place is everywhere, and rightfully so! Though service may vary from location to location, they have the sandwich making down to a science, so you're probably gonna get the same quality sandwich no matter where you go. I tried a potbelly in Arlington, VA and the sandwich tasted exactly like the original on Lincoln. Now the good part! The Sandwich: 1) it's good 2) it's REALLY good this place was a super steal when the sandwiches were $3.59 each, now I think its more like $4 or $4.50, but still well worth it! They oven toast everything by default (good in my book). My personal favorites are the Italian and the Wreck (roast beef, turkey, ham, salami, swiss). They have GREAT shakes and smoothies hand made with real ice cream (not from a mix) and live music in some locations during lunch hours. A Chicago landmark establishment that made it big by the power of the Sandwich!! TRY IT OUT!! btw. I don't know why people said private lot for parking at this location. there is only street parking and if you park in the lots near the restaurant you WILL GET TOWED! true story. read more

I used to order from here via delivery all the time, now every time I try to do it, they say they have no delivery driver. I wanted Potbelly so I decided to go to the location to order my food, this was a horrible decision. There was one person in front of me in line and one female employee was doing all the work while the other two stood to the side and did nothing. I ordered my sandwich and while I waited for it to go through the oven, I overheard the two male employees having a very inappropriate sexual conversation. I'm glad I didn't bring my child with me! I quickly paid then left. Horrible experience. Never will I come to this location or franchise again. I will take my business to a place where employees actually respect their customers. read more

I've been to many Potbelly's locations and they are all very good. I especially like the meatball and pizza sandwiches but do enjoy the roast beef and italian's too! The shakes are good too - I especially like the Salerno butter cookie they put on the straw - very cool! I just wish one of them would deliver to my apartment. read more

I literally don't know how this Potbelly's has any customers. The staff is incredibly rude, they are frequently out of basic items and the restaurant is filthy. There seems to be a general lack of training and quality control across most Potbelly's. Very disappointing for neighborhood residents who have been loyal longtime customers. read more

I've been to many Potbelly locations but I find this particular one seems to be the worst. It's just dirty. None of the tables are wiped off nor are the chairs and there's food on the floor from messy people. Hard to find a clean place to sit and God forbid you would be able to set anything down at the table while you eat. I will probably never eat here again. Note to Potbelly management, don't even bother responding because your comments to complaints are practically the same word for word every time.
