My kids are extremely polite/passive. Their target demographic will have teens+ some just won't wait in line or cut. It's only time really. It's a nice lesson for my kids. This is such a cool cutesy concept! I finally got to check out this spot with my man since we were in the area (the location is on the whole other side of the mall so you really need to make your way here lol ) and this place definitely didn't disappoint! I love how bright and lively it is in the inside, there's about 3-4 photo booths , and you are able to choose and pick your layout, backdrops, design, how many photos you'd like/want printed, customize to your liking , as well with filters and other edits you'd like! They also have a few high angle photo booths which I thought was pretty neat as well. It's pretty simple and straight forward as well , you follow the QR code , pay as you go , and boom the magic happens (not sure if all booths have cash and card as an option) but ours did! And it's super convenient to those who rather pay in cash or use card at their convenience. The photo strips were about $12, I think that's a steal and fairly cheap in my opinion. Considering the ridiculous amount you'd have to pay at other photo booths at other places. They do have props but it's a pretty limited selection, but maybe they'll add more in the future! And they also have tables where you can sit down to do extra decorating to your photos (with markers, and other cute lil add ons). We didn't get a chance to check the tables out completely since they were all full, but it looked like a fun time lol. We went a little late in the day and I was surprised how busy they were even then, but to be fair I get it! After the fun's done , you are able to scan a QR code to digitally save a photo copy of your Photo Booth session and even a video of it all. I was so happy to see that Potobox has made its way to Oahu! This is definitely a bit out of the way as far as Ala Moana stores go, but I'm thrilled that my boyfriend and I stumbled across it when we did. I got very sunburned a few hours after coming here, so getting some cute photos in together definitely helped boost my spirits before I was unable to take any of myself at all... The props aren't as extensive as they are in their Bay Area locations in my opinion, but the machines are the same and you can add all the same filters, layouts, and stickers! This is the perfect place to come with anyone (or even just yourself if you're feeling cute). read more

Pass by Potobox all the time at the mall but finally decided to check it out with my daughter. She's 23 months old but she enjoyed all the props and wearing the different headbands. After you pick your props, choose a photo booth and pay (by card). It's $12 which includes 2 sets of photos. You pick the theme and frame you want then it starts snapping. You can of have to be fast if you want to keep changing props lol. But the photos came out so cute and make for great memories. We even got a voucher for a free photo session on our next visit but it has to be on a weekday. This is something fun to do with your kids and family or your friends! $20 for four photos is a rip off but... we did it anyways. I wish you could retake photos or take a couple extra (if you do the 8 photos, you can only take 8, but if you do 6 photos, you take 8 and choose which you want to keep). Also, there were signs that the QR codes weren't working, but they worked for us. Would be super disappointed if they didn't work. read more

This was a such a fun activity!! Loved being able to take all these photos and not having to deal with a crowd. The location was very difficult to find for us but it's near the target entrance and across Lexbreezy. There were 2 employees who make themselves available if needed but for the most part keep the space tidy. There are i believe 3-4 photo booths with different colored backdrops that was fun to choose fun and lots of fun props! Then there are tables to put your photos in sleeves and you're able to decorate them as well. Each photo strip was around $10 each if i remember correctly. Each photo strip you can also download a digital copy and a video of the experience! Would 10/10 return! read more

Went here with my friend for her bday celebration. We been wanting to go here for a while and finally got the chance. I think what surprised me was how automated everything was here. Basically everything is just done with your credit card and selecting the type of photo layout you want. They had lots of cute props so I chose my aesthetic accordingly. LOL read more

I've always been surprised that we've never had photobooth services like the ones in Japan or South Korea, especially because of how Asia-influenced Hawaii is already. I'm so glad that we finally have a spot on island now! I'd describe these photobooths as more similar to Korean-style photobooths and not like Japanese-style photobooths since there isn't any face altering options (I've had my fair share of purikura in Japan, which is just as fun!). There's a wide variety of fun props to choose from whether it be a plush soju bottle or a bunny ear headband. In these booths, you can comfortably fit four people at a time - but it is doable with more people if everyone works together (just note that it may feel cramped haha). The pictures are reasonably priced and I thought it was neat that they have an area where you can decorate your freshly printed photos with drawings and stickers. I went here three different times so far with different groups of friends and coworkers -everyone enjoyed the experience so I highly recommend you try it out with a friend/loved one/coworker at least once. I know it's a pop up store so I'm not too sure if this will eventually go away in the near future. That being said, stop be here if you're able to! read more

It was fun. Great gift for my daughter's graduation from preschool. Definitely need taller stools for the keiki. But we used what we could. Need silly graduation hats. I'm sure those would be fun. But we had blast! She wants to bring her friends. Definitely going to need a raised bench for this group of kids. The staff were helpful in answering questions. We'll do this again. My daughter wants to bring her favorite plushies to pose with. It was worth it. We definitely will come back again. I would consider costumes as a fun idea to add to the mix. We walked through the Target wing of Ala Moana, and just past the boba shop is this new Photo Booth shop. They had props lining the wall and a claw machine. We had the chance to play with props and pick them out before we went into the Photo Booth. There are a couple regular Photo Booths, and a couple if high-angle Photo Booths in the back. Each Photo Booth had stools, a shelving unit and a touchscreen with a button to cue the photo. And they had tables so that way you can personalize your photo printouts. It was pretty much self-service, easy and convenient to use. I thought that the downloadable video and photos made it super cute because it really personalized each photo memory. read more

So much fun! My little family went here around 7 on a Sunday night to do a cute sesh for my baby announcement. They had an attendant who was around but on her phone. The location had a good selection of props and about 4 photo booths. One was from a high angle of that but looked really tight inside. The other booths had a purple/ lavender, pink, and baby blue background. Those booths are better suited if you have bigger groups and it's pretty spacious for the three of us. BONUS: there was space outside of the booth for our stroller and a little stool for our belongings inside. We got to take 8 pictures which was pretty nice. You get to select how many frames you want. We went with the 4 frames and got to choose the best of the 8 pictures we took. It was also really nice that they give you time to get ready for each picture vs some photo booths that only give your 4 seconds per picture. This helps a lot with big parties figure out what cute pose to do next or for a family like mine get their act together lol. Near the end you get to choose your decorative frames, pictures, and effects. This was super fun (even if my 1 year old wasn't having it). We paid $12 for 2 pictures and they allow you to digitally download a videos of you getting ready for the pictures and a digital copy of your picture which is super awesome for posting on social media. We had fun and our end result was hilarious and we will try again when our little one is in a better mood lol. read more
