if you're in severe pain and been a part of Potomac Valley orthopedic since the 80s do not expect any relief. They talk about a surgery not the moment that you're in at the time. Don't expect any pain meds. They haven't caught up with the new DEA laws.

Dr. Mathur, the x-ray tech, and the support staff that casted my seven-year-old son's broken wrist were excellent. They were very informative and friendly. Plus, we never had to wait long - even the Friday before 4th of July weekend. I highly recommend them!

Well equipped and spacious with a friendly knowledge staff. I like the PT center more than the doctors office attached to it.

I was referred to him for an urgent consultation by Dr. DeMarco following an epidural injection. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Blam was deeply disappointing. He entered the room abruptly and defensively asked, "Why are you here?" because he had already read my MRI report. When we explained the referral to discuss a treatment plan for my herniated disc, he was dismissive and interrupted us, stating he could do nothing if we were seeking surgery. He then made a blanket assumption about my insurance, claiming Aetna would not cover surgery, without even knowing my specific policy details. While I have had excellent experiences within this practice with Dr. Adams, Dr. DeMarco, and Amy Holloway, Dr. Blam's rude, disrespectful demeanor left my husband and me completely stunned. I will not return to him and cannot recommend his care.

STOP! Do you have…read more*any* type of spine-based pain that you've tried for *years* to resolve with physical therapy, chiropractic care, pain management professionals, and/or had surgery but continue to remain in pain? Do you get 10 minutes with your current physical therapist, then handed off to a college intern to do the same 5 exercises every time you go and make little/no progress? PLEASE make an appointment to see Dr. Francis Jung at Columbia Physical Therapy In Motion. *EVERY* session you will get 45 minutes of dedicated time with him. No interns. No down time. Just one-on-one time with an incredible physical therapist. I met Dr Jung after 2.5 years in pain (about 14 months of severe sciatic pain) that left me with pain-based scoliosis. Standing or walking for more than 15-30 seconds was incredibly painful and I couldn't stand up straight. Had seen 3 physical therapists and 3 chiropractors over those 2.5 years and none knew what to make of my issue after several months of treatment. Dr. Jung was kind enough to call me on his own time after work one evening and assured me his experiences could likely assist. Dr. Jung has a kind and compassionate presence along with wisdom from years of hands on experience and tons of training. Did you know Doctor's of Physical Therapy (DPT) can opt to go through residency and on to fellowships? He was one of the first 10 DPT fellows in the state of Maryland! He will empathize and listen to your concerns and celebrate each of your successes while ensuring you get the most out of your time with him. He will challenge you beyond what you think is possible and you CAN succeed under his guidance. While not without pain, frustration, and setbacks, I'm THRILLED to report that I can now take zumba classes and am planning some large travel trips that I couldn't imagine a mere 12 months ago. The Columbia Physical Therapy In Motion team is wonderful - I would highly recommend any of the therapists for any of your PT needs, though I am very partial to Dr. Jung for any spine-based issues. Do note that getting an appointment with Dr. Jung may take a few weeks because of his popularity, but he is worth the wait. As a tip: when you call to make your initial appointment, ask to get on his schedule twice a week to make sure you don't have to wait again --- if you opt not to see him anymore, just cancel the appointments with no problems. Trust me, they will very quickly fill up.

My first which was before the pandemic was nice. He was still used a lecturer style of presenting your condition but I appreciated because it was informative. On my second visit which was during the pandemic, he was chastising for not being diligent in my foot care, which I thought was odd given the fact that I don't wear my outdoor shoes inside and he never mentioned that I had a ankle issue. Sadly to emphasize his point the need to stabilize the ankle he actually pressed into my inflamed ankle to the point I was in tears and reaching for him to move his hand. Only went to him a third time last year because I rather sick with the devil I know than deal with a whole new asshole. This time it was worse. He was even more uncaring, methodical and distant than the last time. I seen this guy twice before and he treated me as a new patient so much he wanted to see orthopedics would be a good option for me but he recommended orthopedics which I got on my last visit. So I had to visit his office twice, pay two copays ($80 total) and the $120 for new orthopedic. The only redeeming thing about his office is Kim who is an amazing administrator and receptionist. I definitely follow her if she went to a new office.

They worked me and pushed me but I couldn't have asked for a better environment for my recovery efforts. Though it is a pleasant, personable and fun environment, this is still a professional group who know their stuff. They evaluated my injury and quickly came up with an aggressive plan. I had periodic evaluations and was always shown the proper care. Though my copays did add up, spending money for the service I was given was well worth it. There are a lot of Pivot locations in the area, but if you are looking for the best place for your recovery I happily recommend this location.
