This is a super review for one of the employees at Potters Ace Hardware Crossville (Fairfield Glade) , TN 38571. I unknowingly dropped a large check at this store. This amazing employee, Beth Volzone, found the check and went above and beyond to track me down to return the check. She searched for me on Facebook and Next Door. No luck. She even called the bank. Again, no luck. So, she locked the check in their safe until she could locate me. Finally, she located the person who wrote me the check by searching ND for her name. That person called me and I went to Ace to get the check. The effort that Beth put forth to help me speaks volumes about the caring attitude she has. Thanks Beth. I hope you get a pay raise. Spent $78 on a roll of flashing, the price on the shelf label said $38. After I left I decided I didn't want to spend that much on the project and went back with my receipt to get my money back, the cashier told me I'd have to come back on Monday and would be given a check. I literally just handed her the money ten minutes before. I will NEVER go back to this store and will make sure that my friends and family stay away from these crooks!!! read more

Got a propane tank filled for my grill, they all thought it was a big deal to get it filled. Went to pay and he wanted to charge me the max for the tank. I said how much did it take cause it wasn't empty. Kid tells me makes no difference they charge a flat rate. DUH! like going to a gas station with your car and having to buy 16 gallons when you only put 8 gallons in. They always are rude as well, crooks they are. read more

I went there to get a nut. The lady behind the counter told me she was the only one their,I took it as she could not leave the counter which she did for the next costumer. Finally I was helped,I was given the wrong item.when returning the item injury to insult I was told I needed the receipt. When I complained an adolescent employee reprimanded me accusing me of getting hostile. Bad service pitied. read more

Although I have only used Ace hardware in FFG a handful of times, they have always gone out of their way to direct me or lead me to the correct spot in the store where merchandise was located, or search their back room . They have always been helpful and explained what I needed and why and have gone out of their way to give me the best priced item. read more
