This is a fairly new micropub just off the Beeston high street and is well worth a visit.
It has a cosy, friendly atmosphere and is somewhere you often end up talking to random strangers, which isn't that common in pubs these days (the fact that you often have to share your table due to lack of space probably contributes).
They seem to always have 4 ales on, including at least one light and one dark beer, and 4 real ciders, fetched from the cellar by friendly and knowledgable staff (usually the landlord).
The tasting glasses are tiny beer mugs, which is a nice touch.
The main seating can get uncomfortable after a while so it tends to be a place to stop off for one or two pints rather than somewhere to camp out for the night, probably a good thing as it only fits about 20 people so without the turnover you'd never get in. read more
