Even though I live in the States I always stop by here for a meal when I'm in the area. What's the food like? It's a very typical local dish : dough, melted butter, salt, and cumin seeds in a wood fired brick oven. How could you not like that? You should drink white wine or hot tea with the meal. Delicious but definitely not low cal or non fat ! They need a minimum of 5 customers per evening to fire the brick oven so call ahead and make a reservation ! Enjoy !

Once you have been in several Swiss tea rooms you get over the initial shock of an abundant amount of choices looking at you on the other side of the glass counter. You start to get a feel for what places have an above average quality selection to choose from. This place had an abundant amount of sweet and savoury options, but they definitely were not of the typical basic calibre. I chose a sandwich for takeaway and was not disappointed. It was one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. I week later, I can still taste the amazing flavors and the perfect texture and taste of the fresh baked bread. During the warm months they even have a nice area to sit outside and enjoy their treats. We noticed many people there getting yummy looking drinks. I would definitely stop here again.

I love to walk up the hill into the old part of town and enjoy the beautiful views of the lake. There is no better place to do this than here. There is a fantastic view overlooking the lake and town from this Tea Room. Everything is fresh and hand made, and the owners are fantastic. I have eaten here on several occasions and I have never been disappointed. I take all my out of town guests here and they fall in love. One of my favorite visits is when the owner shared with us his home made pumpkin soup that was cooking outside in a large cauldron. That was the best pumpkin soup I have ever had. Definitely a place you cannot pass up!

I can recommend the quiche, the chocolate croissants too- the espresso was divine (I should have ordered two). For two people, we enjoyed a full spread, all under 30 Franks. They have a selection of pastries, sandwiches, home made cakes, and fresh baked breads to choose from. We have bought a cake here for a dinner event, and it tasted as amazing as it looked. We have eaten here a couple of times and the sandwiches and pastries are great. I have also picked up bread on the way home, and it is pretty good. I still prefer the fresh baked bread that I pick up at the bakery in Prangins, but the bread here is good.
