The Portsmouth shop in new and I think the till layouts is stupid as half the time it seem like luck of the draw who gets served first ans as they're in a flat bank right up to the door you're always queuing in front of the drinks cabinet. Thumbs up for the bargains, thumbs down fr the shop layout. Oh and I'd never try going in on a Saturday it's just was too busy.

Always worth looking out for brand names like nescafe and there are a few good forums online where people keep up to date on the best stuff to come in to stock. Stock changes regularly so worth popping in if you're passing by. The layout of the tills isn't too bad, but it's always busy and there are always queues.

Thats right everything in store is £1. and occasionally they will promote two for £1 making it 50p each. We recently had a halloween party and I spent £50 on decorations and the whole house was decorated with some fantastic decorations - Im sure it would of cost me hundreds in alternative stores. This store is in a pretty great location with all the bus stops nearby. If I'm already shopping in Commercial Road I might pop in this branch, but as there is now a Poundland just a across the Road, I'd probably shop in there. They are still good value though, and this one seems to have quite a lot of bits for the kitchen in it. Stock doesn't seem to change very often (unlike Poundland) so I find it's not really worth going in unless I need something. This time of year they're always full of cheap Christmas decorations.

I'm a fan. And this café in Southampton really disappointed me. Shameful. How on Earth could M&S senior management allow this short term foolishness, likely just to save a few quid. We noted they were selling fish & chips with peas and a lemon wedge at £9. We decided to try but it soon became clear that was our mistake. They weren't that tasty. The food seemed air fryer cooked, dry, near tasteless and not a good eat really, so real fish & chip shops have no fear of this competition. This is food passable for old folks homes. We didn't have to wait long for the food but here again the server had no tartare sauce to offer (apparently a supply issue) but it was readily available in store just a mere few feet away. £18 for rubbish food. The tomato ketchup, vinegar pouches and salt were seemingly rationed. I asked for some more and some more was handed over, piecemeal. I gave up. Is it a lack of training? Who knows. Then I tried to open the sauce pouches and ended up asking a staff bloke to do it. He struggled but succeeded. I am really annoyed as this is not acceptable.
