Is known to have different opening hours during holiday seasons so check on their website before you go. Underground parking (pay and display) and lots of near by car parks with less than 5-10 minutes walk from the shop. County Square is in the town center and only a short walk from the Outlet Center if you can't find what you're looking for. Pro Tip: If you're walking go to the outlet center first, you can then catch a free shuttle bus to the town center (+ county square) every couple of minutes. Look out for the blue Outlet busses. More shops, café's and apparently an ODEON cinema are being built on the other side of the road. So in the coming years this is going to become one of the shopping hubs of Kent. The road system around the County Square is the 'shared space' system featured on 'Top Gear' on the 'One Show' where there are no road markings and the road is shared with pedestrians - so be careful!

There is a large selection of artist supplies at the back of the store. There's also quite a nice selection of cards and giftwrap. Classic, good quality traditional British clothes, with a bit of history, that's warm in the winter. Gloves were surprisingly good value. Good for 40 somethings who like traditional style, with a contemporary feel. Someone did give me a positive comments on the clothes I bought there. Some of these traditional clothes 'make a statement' against junk clothes bought at Primark. They also use fake fur. Nice shortbread biscuits for customers to scoff at the counter. Again something that Primark doesn't offer. Good personal service.

I didn't buy anything but had a good browse around and took the shop's permission to take photos of their premises and books. So the bookshop space has been converted from two houses and its massively more spacious than it looks like from outside. The books are also spread out over two floors and at least 8 rooms and the shop seems to have a good variety of something for everybody. Everything is very neatly labelled and their collection of older children's books is amazing - I coveted, oh how I covered some of the stuff I saw on the shelves! I also came close to buying these gorgeous cards that converted into bird mobiles (see pics) but in the end decided I have so much stuff already, didn't want to add to the clutter already existing in my house. So if you are a bibliophile like me and visiting Canterbury and have some time to spare, would totally recommend checking this bookstore out - it's awesome!

They do sell some vinyl, mainly singles but also a few albums too. They also have posters, clothing, badges and patches and some guitar accessories. They are very helpful in this shop, they use the internet to answer any customers requests and will order in anything they do not have in stock. The other thing I like is that they give away all of their ex-promotional posters to anyone who asks, this is a very nice added extra that you would probably not find in a chain shop. Their prices are quite competitive too.

The staff are LOVELY they take their jobs seriously, are very knowledgeable and have a traditional approach to service which is sadly lacking in many more modern stores, attentive yet not overbearing. The quality of their items is very high, if a little traditional, but if you are looking for dependability and durable items this is the place. Always seem to have what I am looking for, sometimes a little pricer but worth it for the service.

Most of downstairs is dedicated to womens casual and occasion wear together with shoes and upstairs is a large mens wear, kids section and home wear department. You cannot go wrong with Next and this store does not disappoint - holding goods from their latest catalogue they are always right on trend and you know you can trust the quiality. The staff are friendly and helpful, even running to get an alternative size when you are in the changing rooms.
