In route from Devil's Tower to Miles City, we anticipated that we would stop for a late lunch in Broadus, a town we have never visited before. Upon arrival, we pulled up Yelp to see what was recommended. As this looked like it would just be your typical warmed over Bowling Alley Food, we had no intention of stopping. However, as it was after 1 pm, every restaurant we tried was already closed for lunch. Since this restaurant stays open until 2 pm (and we were very hungry), we decided to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise! Farthest thing from warmed over bowling alley food. This food is fresh off the grill and absolutely delicious. The Frisco Melt, BLT and Philly Cheesesteak were particularly outstanding. Always fun when you come across an unexpected treasure on a road trip. We were well fed! Oh, and this is really more of a diner with a bowling alley vs the other way around. In fact, the bowling alley is currently under construction.

Very small hole in the wall diner/arcade/casino/bowling alley. It has it all (cue oohs and awes). In all serious, it's just a local diner in the middle of nowhere Montana. We just came in cause we needed a pit stop for lunch and gas. Didn't really know where to go cause there's not much information on Yelp or Google for this area. We walked in the a room full of locals, a little weird and intimidating for token POCs.. Anyway, we asked the owner where we should sit and we sat ourselves and got a menu shortly after. The menu offers American dishes - burgers, chicken strips, etc. for about $11 a plate. We got a bacon cheeseburger and steak strips. They were both unremarkable. I prefer my burger over the strips. The strips were a hybrid of steak and a burger patty. Overall, okay place to stop for lunch. Not sure what else is in this tiny town.

Pretty good place to stop and eat while on a road trip.

Along the journey, lunch was calling so we popped into The Diamond Bar at Devil's Tower. It's not actually AT Devils Tower, but close enough. What a surprise! The restaurant has the look and feel of a mountain lodge...very homey and comfy. First and foremost....our waitress, Kayla. I hope I've remembered her name! Or was it Krista? She was a joy! Super friendly and efficient, it was such a pleasure meeting her. The Bourbon Burger was the BEST! Juicy, bursting with flavor and cooked just right, I definitely made the right choice. My husband has the BLT, left no crumbs! Upstairs you can find postcards, tee-shirts, magnets...all sorts of Wyoming stuff. I had fun poking around. So yea...if you are taking the trip to see Devils Tower, pull into The Diamond to have a tasty meal along the way.

Chicken fried steak was ok, average, but the sides were delicious and the portions were huge. Expensive- to be expected for the location of course. You will have a lovely time here and the food is pretty good- It won't blow your mind but it will fill you up and it is a lovely place to spend some time.
