I've been dealing with Power America for almost 37 years now. Never had a problem getting any of my machines fixed. The customer service there is fantastic and they have always done right by me, along with few other companies around me as well. I am currently working with them on some big truck lifts for my shop. Owner is not an honest man. Did business over the years with the owner of this Littleton MA company, always leading to an over the top ordeal. recently sent in my Landa pressure washer for estimate. Steve called me back with a price to replace the whole unit of $9700 which was not a concern as I wanted it fixed, after expressing it was expensive He had called me back to tell me he can now sell me the same unit quoted for the $9700 for $5600 now. Again I was not interested. After a few calls I received a quote to repair my pressure washer, the owner this time said It needed tank floats, a new pump (connecting rods no good) new valving, new burner work and etc. I was a little thrown off so I took the machine back. On return of the machine the drivers tailgate failed on my site and they wanted me to take my time out of my day with one of my employees and my forktruck (FOR FREE) to secure it up out of the way. After that BS estimate I was upset, refused to help without return of the estimate fee. The owner gave me back my fee and locked the account. --------I fixed the machine for $433 by replacing the pump and nothing else. far from them elaborate $2900 fee assessed when they did not even assess it in the first place.-------- Stay away from power america unless you have deep pockets and want to do business with such an owner. read more

I had a newer $2k pressure washer with a Honda electric start engine and a Cat pump, were the pump developed a leak. I pulled the "head" off the pump to look for the obvious and nothing I could see. Decided to call in the experts at "Power America". Dropped unit off after paying $140 for a "diagnosis" fee. Informed them I was looking to have to pump repaired in lieu of replacing the pump. Two days later received a call back from Partick that indeed the pump was damaged to the tune of $1725 for a rebuild. Astonished, I stated I can buy the pump online for $750, why would I pay such for a rebuild? Few hours later, received a call back stating they can sell me a pump for $1100 and replace plus labor (four bolts and a pulley). Scam vibes sinking in, why would they offer to repair a pump for $1725 if they could sell a new for $1100. I said I will pick it up and replace the pump myself. Afterall I was trying to avoid replacing the pump and hoping these folks could repair it. Picked up and what a nightmare. Pump was more damaged then when I brought it in. They smashed ceramic pistons to justify their actions. Ceramic pistons that I witnessed to be intact before dropping off were now smashed and in a plastic bag and the pump was not even reassembled. Jack the service manager is not only clueless about the operations afoot, rude, condescending, and surely not a customer facing individual. Long short, Jack justified the estimate for $1725 to repair a pump worth $750 and walked away. The fact that they wanted $1725 to repair a pump they could have sold me (after I refused paying $1725) for $1100 (which I purchased online for $725), is just fraudulent. read more
