1 Star I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience. I paid $395 for a one-hour legal consultation after calling the office three separate times to ask whether the filing deadline or time limitations for my case had already expired. I made it clear that if the deadline had passed, there would be no reason to move forward or pay for a consultation, yet I was never given a clear answer. My consultation had been on the books for approximately six weeks. On the morning of the scheduled appointment, just as I was preparing to leave for what I believed was an in-office meeting, I received a call stating there had been a double booking and the appointment needed to be rescheduled. It was only then that I learned the consultation was actually intended to be a phone consultation. During the call, after already providing the contractor's name in advance, the attorney disclosed that the roofing contractor involved in my dispute was also the roofing contractor she uses for all of her rental properties. In my opinion, this potential conflict should have been identified before accepting payment and scheduling the consultation. Approximately halfway through the paid hour, the attorney abruptly ended the call, stating she wanted to contact the California Contractors State License Board because the situation "wasn't making sense." She told me she would call me back that evening or the following morning. She never called back. I followed up twice and my calls were not returned. I was left without the information and guidance I paid for, with no follow-through and no professional communication regarding whether the case was being declined. As a Single mom living with children in a house full of toxic black mold and the house was falling apart. I sent a fix it letter to my landlord to request to fix these items and the landlord instead gave me a retaliatory 30 day notice. Stacie's response that she didn't take my case is a lie. She took $2500.00 retainer fee. If she felt that I had no case then why take my money ? She strung me along for months. I ended up firing Stacie and got another attorney. Stacie Powers was asked to write a letter stopping the sell of o property for me, after giving Power Law PC a $2500.00 retainer that she scooped up as quick as possible. I tried to reach her by email and phone with no success tring to find out if the letter was sent her assistant finally emailed me back over a moth later that she was sending it out the upcoming Friday over a month past when I needed it sent by the time she sent the letter the property had already been sold. I ưaited for a bill for months and never recieved one until i áked for my retainer to be refunded i ứa charged over $800.00 for a single letter to be sent that was sent a month to late, I waited over 9 months for my retainer to be return and finally I receive only half of it, then she charges me $28.50 for everytime I sent a email to her or her assistant to find out if they had mailed the check out. I am still currently waiting over 10 months now for my remaining retainer to to be sent to me. I am currently in discussions with the bar and will be filling a small claim court to try and get it back. I'm Not sure what is going on at her office and why they can't treat people decent and do what they were hire for. I would not recommend power law ever for anything. $ read more

I just read the reviews on Stacie Power law and I am so grateful I did. She has strung me along for many months after telling me she could keep me on my property. I texted and emailed her 16 times asking what can I expect her to do for me and the cost for her services I had so far never paid, she never answered the question... She was to get back to me this last Monday since my property is set to be sold at auction Jan 3rd, and with the holidays, time was important. I never heard back from her, she had told me I could stay in my trailer on my property while she and her partners would take over my home and B&B. As her proposal never arrived, I decided to read these reviews and see now I dogged a bullet. I now have a ethical and decent lawyer to handle my situation, not this person who lies and cheats...thank you reviews... by the way after reading her remarks about my Yelp review, she has made up a bunch of conversations that were Never made by me. My father passed and this was the attorney that my probate lawyer picked. It has been nothing short of remarkable how unresponsive they are. I've been constantly ignored by Power Law. If you have a choice, DO NOT USE THIS 2 PERSON TEAM! It's not like I asked hard questions. The questions should have been something they deal with all the time. My belief is that they are too busy participating in CA's legal theft ring. The courts are a joke as well. I do not feel that they necessarily ripped me off, but the lack of communication is unforgivable. It amazes me how ppl can not give a crap about their clients and just take their money. No compassion at all. No empathy for those that lost someone important in their lives. Simply amazing. read more

Stacie Power, at first seemed very knowledgeable and capable to address our needs. We started with one issue that had been plaguing us for over a year. She had promised to have a letter to us to review the next week, but we heard nothing. A month later, another urgent matter arose and we asked her to put the previous case aside. After sending her all the documents she needed, and over a month later, she wrote a demand letter to the construction company without ever discussing it with us ahead of time, nor did she give us the opportunity to review the letter before she sent it. It had inaccurate information stated and to this day, she has never addressed any of it with us. After nearly a month of no response to our urgent requests to speak with her, we had to find another lawyer. As soon as we emailed her that we were firing her, we received the letter she was suppose to have written over 2 months before. That letter was also full of inaccurate information. To this date, we don't know if she sent the letter without our approval, because she has never responded back to us. To top of it all, she billed us $1,300 for continuing without our approval, wasting 3 valuable months of our time and now we have to start all over again with some else. I have never "yelped" anyone before, but I felt that people should know before handing over a retainer of $2,500. read more

She doesn't deserve one star ! How she stays in business I have no idea . Other comments say she's a liar and they are not lying . She's a con ! She does nothing but strings you along . Every time you call week after week just to ask "did you forget about me ?". She lies and sends you another bill . (hard to explain how bad it really was ) When I finally fired her she called me up. As rude as one can get she screamed for minutes that I was mentally ill and that she would see to it I never got another lawyer! That lawyers are a close group in Butte county and that they would believe her and not mentally ill David . The screaming was heard and listened to by my office staff and customers , I don't hear well and my phone is always on speaker . HORRIBLE LAWYER AND PERSON!! I needed a lawyer to represent me against my solar company. Stacie and her team did nothing but drag me along for 14 months and waist $1,000's of my dollars. my solar company filed bankruptcy With absolutely nothing done by Stacie. There was not even a letter on my behalf to show. I refused to re-hire or pay my last $528 bill because of her doing nothing so she sued me!!! Good thing I kept receipts because she lied and said I owed double but I had every receipt to prove I did not. I did end up paying my final bill plus extra. Not 10 minutes into mediation she brought up a very sensitive topic to upset me, which it did and not go to court. Stacie's used my son's attempted suicide against me for losing contact with her for a few weeks!!! She new exactly what happened and that I found him but still did this in mediation. All I know is that Stacie's is everything that is wrong with humanity. I lost money, but not my humanity.
