My favourite place to be is Natal.
Powder white sand dunes that stretch along the Atlantic Ocean and in the horizon you will see the sails from beautiful woodened fishing boats.
Natal is a relatively big city with approximately 800 000 habitants, but still a very laidback regional Capital.
The beach of Ponta Negra outside Natal is a famous tourist area which attracts not only families and party goers, but also dolphins and shopping freaks.
But for the more curious traveller I recommend to explore the coastline in the region where you easily can find charming villages and interesting culture. Driving through the countryside you will come across small off roads which might lead you to unexplored lakes with a local beach bar selling cerveja, the Portuguese word for beer.
Keep on driving and you might also end up at the paradise beach Genipabu. Genipabu is located 25k from Natal. And with its gigantic dunes you can take a dromedary ride to the tip of the beach to the postcard placed Restaurant 21. Genipabu is on the top of my list, as you can do more then just sunbathe. End your day with a beach buggy drive down the massive sand dunes while watching the sunset over the fresh water lagoon. read more
