Hopefully they act in a more professional and safe manner when they are at a work site and not as reckless as they are on the roads. I can only imagine they must have been sleep deprived after days of clearing snow right now. Still no excuse to drive aggressively in a company truck (or be on the roads at all). If your employees are that stressed out and reckless on the roads, send them home to get some sleep.

Apparently, my lot line is considered "in-fill," which they no longer survey. Why not? Because it is too hard. That is literally what they told me. I asked them for a referral, and they provided me with several. No one answered the phone for the first one, not even an answering machine picked up. The second one was not taking appointments until next year. I got nowhere. Meanwhile, my neighbor was planning to put up a fence in a location that I was not sure was correct. I called a few more survey companies in town, but no one could help me. Finally, I tried Kijiji and found Richard David's company, Quantum Geomatics. Richard squeezed me in the next day. He was able to do this because he just formed the company. Turns out he spent many years working for the first company I called. Maybe that's why they stopped doing "in-fill" work, because Richard was their go-to guy for the difficult jobs, and now Richard had moved on to start Quantum Geomatics. Richard did a great job and took his time to explain his findings to both myself and my neighbor. It's not the first time I have needed a surveyor, but with Richard's excellent work, it will probably be the last time I am ever unsure about the location of my property line.
