The delivered product was VERY different than in the picture. It was also sparse. Wouldn't order from them again.

I tried to go in to buy my mom flowers for her birthday and she wouldn't give me any attention, I'm assuming because I look young. I finally had to ask her for help and she was snotty. The flowers died in 2 days. Respect goes a long way and I will never be back. I've heard the same complaints from others in the area as well. read more

I have been enjoying visits to this shop for quite some time. It feels like a new place every change of season. It is a unique shop with unique gifts and flowers and some neat clothing items too. Ruth does a great job of finding unique items that don't show up in the regular places. My husband and I have bought both flowers by the stem and arrangements she has designed, special occasion deliveries and,yup, even funeral flowers. She created beautiful unique arrangements that others don't seem to create, and has added features that make it special and personal for us. My husband likes the shop too, which is unusual to say. I ordered a corsage and boutonniere for my parents 68th wedding anniversary a few days ahead of time. The owner, when taking the order over the phone, seemed rushed and frustrated I even called. I felt rushed to make my order. My mother is in the local nursing home and my father is 35 mi away from her. This was to be a very special day for them. Dinner at a restaurant 45 mi away and time spent with family. My parents are both nearing 92 yrs of age. The owner said she knew my parents. I don't think so or she would have been more appropriate on the phone. Anyway I told her of our plans to leave the nursing home with my mother on Sunday by 10:00, she mentioned she could have them delivered on Saturday and even Sunday by 9:30. Now this is the owner taking the order, not a 16 yr old making rash promises. Unbelievable, she didn't give a rip about our order. By 10:00 the flowers were still not there. The nursing home staff was calling all departments to see if the flowers had been delivered to the wrong place in the facility. Nope, no flowers had been delivered. I was near tears and made the decision to leave for the restaurant. It was snowing and we had to get going as we had family and a long trip ahead of us due to the weather. We had tried several times to reach the shop but the owners lengthy message kept us from moving forward. And...come to find out at the end of the message that the shop opened at 11:00. Wouldn't you think the owner would have reached us prior to 9:30 to let us know what the situation was. As we drove to our celebration, I finally reached the owner. She answered with great distain for me and she knew I would be upset so she began telling me the flowers were being delivered and my parents could keep the flowers and enjoy them later in the day. I told her to credit my account, that I would not be paying for them. She said I didn't charge you for them, which I have not yet checked my account for the charge. Not trusting her word, I will. She totally blew off that she screwed up. She said, I don't know why I told you I would deliver on Sunday by 9:30, we don't even open until 11 on Sunday. Wow, Wow, Wow and this is the owner??? No compassion, no nothing. A cold hearted florist? One of a kind. My dad didn't get to see his flowers and my mom had a picture of her and her corsage alone when we took her back to the nursing home. I cried for them both. We did enjoy our day, I had made up my mind to not let this woman's business ethics get in my way of enjoying my parents special day. The first time I ordered corsages for my parents anniversary. Owner not friendly. Seemed very rushed and not helpful. Told me she will close early because of the holiday even though her hours clearly stated till 3pm.. So I had to pick them up before 12noon. Ok. One corsage looked wilted and brown on the off white rose. Looked awful. But by the time I decided to bring it back, well she was closed..hmmm. I had to rush to another florist in Madison to get another. Then my daughter, unknowingly ordered some flowers for Mother's Day. They delivered them and my husband answered the door and he thought they weren't finished. I thought it was a joke or something. Small puny tulips. But what shocked me was the filler greens. It looked like someone broke off branches from a backyard shrub or bush. The leaves were wilted. It was just laughable! I could not believe it! Do NOT order your flowers from here! read more
