A combination of New and used books, they have everything you could want. From the top new releases to gently used/loved books that need a new home. A unique view of the Eastern Blue Ridge Mountains. This is…read morejust a few hundred feet from the Black Rock Visitors Center. It is at the turn right before you arrive at the visitor's center. It has a small parking area right off the road. There is a wooden viewing platform built right off the road terminating in a platform about 8 x 15 feet wide and about 25 feet off the ground. This allows visitors to see below and out across the mountains to the east. It offers a nice view but not as spectacular as the ones from the visitors center. It is important to note that this location offers the Eastern view whereas the Visitor's center offers the southern view so it is unique in that respect. One of the trails originates from this same location. It is nice to see and has a nice informational display built onto the platform explaining the view. When first entering it looks like it is a tunnel through the trees but it opens into a better, broader view. It is worth a stop either on the way to the visitor's center or on the way back from the center. You may also want to visit the Foxfire museum right down the mountain a little bit. Enjoy.

It has a good selection of new, used and older books. They have a nice children and youth section as well. I found a J.D. Robb book that I had been looking for and just bought online that was more expensive than what was offered here. After talking to the nice gentleman (sorry I can't remember your name), he told me that they have a website that I can order online and pick it up at the store. Score!! I will definitely be back!
