    The Sugo - half portion
    Jen C.

Came here for dinner on a Monday and was seated right away at a large booth. Ordered The Sugo and my friend ordered the three cheese ravioli. Wow, both dishes were so good! I ordered the half portion and I still had leftovers! Very good ingredients and pastas are deliciously made. Great service. Pretty quiet so you can talk comfortably.

I came here with some friends on a Saturday mid afternoon. It was clearly a slow period with not a lot of patrons so it took awhile for our waitress to come get our orders in. I got the mirrorball cocktail and the lunch special which consisted of spaghetti and meatballs with a Caesar salad. The mirrorball and Caesar salad were good. The spaghetti with meatballs was just okay, I ended up taking half in a box for leftovers. The menu seems limited, but it seems like they update it every so often with something different. This place was just okay, there are other Italian restaurants I prefer going to.

Food was so good here! All our meals were 5 stars. The Brussel sprouts were so good! We ordered great beer selection for $5 each at happy hour! Plus taking a lot of food home. We got a table right by the kitchen it was great! The place is real nice inside and outside. My only small complaint was at the end a bunch of small black bugs were flying around. This is one of the better places to eat Italian in Jacksonville! Waitress was very good!

Kayla took excellent care of us at the bar. We arrived early for happy hour and enjoyed a near empty bar! They don't open until 4:30pm and we were there before 5pm. I wanted to see if any of the happy hour bar bites peaked my interest- and yes they did, until I found out my cursed allergy prevented me from enjoying most of the options. We ordered cocktails and the cheesy garlic bread. I cannot have their marinara sauce- that takes out a lot at an Italian restaurant. I did have my eye on the short rib, it came highly recommended. Cocktails- I had the happy hour Prati Mule with bourbon and then an old fashioned after- both were delicious, that old fashioned was made right. John ordered a beer and was very happy. John got The Godfather pizza, I went for that short rib. John's take- best pizza he has ever eaten! Whoa- that's huge. He's currently eating his leftovers. I was so excited for the short rib I missed that it was over polenta. I would have preferred mashed potatoes- but that just meant I ate every single carrot- omg, so yummy and almost all of the beef- again, perfectly cooked, great flavor and fork soft- hmmmm. I love a tender, forkful of cow. Next time, get a table and I'm going to try the scallops! Or maybe something alfredo. We'll see, but I will be back! Ooohh- management, you need more bourbon cocktails on the seasonal menu! I just missed the bacon bourbon cocktail- but the new one had none.

Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Shrimp Scampi, and an Aperol Spritz

The perfect birthday dinner spot! This is my favorite place to get crispy Brussels sprouts. Everything is always delicious, and the atmosphere is unbeatable. It can get a bit busy, but the amazing food and ambiance make it worth it. The staff is always incredibly sweet and truly makes you feel cared for. One time, my family came here with our cousin, who is autistic. We were seated in the back room, where the sound echoed and was a little loud. The manager approached us and offered to move us to a quieter area of the restaurant, and even offered to provide headphones for my cousin. It was one of the best experiences we've ever had at a restaurant, especially considering that dining out can be challenging if the environment is too overstimulating. I love seeing inclusivity in restaurants, and this encounter will forever be one of my sweetest core memories. Thank you, Prati!

    Breakfast lasagna

Never again for the breakfast lasagna. Never. All noodle and cheese. It was awful. I'll never be back. Such a waste of money. The service was fine. The ambiance was nice casual. There was even burnt lasagna noodles in it. Such a waste of money. I wouldn't waste my time. Nothing special at all. So disappointed in the lasagna. So disappointed. Soooo I spoke up and Kayla took care of the lasagna. I really didn't mean for the meal to be compted because I ate the noodles. Kayla was a very good server. And I really appreciated it.

The restaurant was very beautiful. I love the lighting and the ambience. I love the open kitchen where you can see the chef's preparing the food. The server was very nice and knowledgeable. I ordered a peach martini which came very quickly and it was pretty good. I will say it was nice and stiff. Lol I also ordered the short rib dish and a side of brussels sprouts. Now as far as the food I was a little bit surprised being that it was such a nice place and it was so beautiful but honestly the flavor was a little bit bland on the short rib dish. The brussels sprouts were great. I will say that I got there at 8:30 not realizing they close at nine so it could be that I got there kind of late so I may give them another chance if I have a friend that wants to go there. I will say it's worth trying because it is a very nice restaurant it could be just my taste buds for this dish.

    Happy Hour Drinks

It had been awhile since I had been to Prati Italia but I am glad we came back. We started off that the bar for Happy Hour which they do daily from 4:30PM to 6:30PM which is great since more places on do during the week. They have a number of drink specials from wine to beer as well as cocktails. I went with the Margarita for $8 which isn't bad. I also liked that it was nice an tart. For Happy Hour food we got a medium cheese pizza ($10) and added sausage for $3. The pizza was very good and great to sharing. It is similar to a Detroit Style Pizza and had crispy cheese on the corners which we loved. Could have maybe used a little more sauce but we still very much enjoyed it. Would for sure get another pizza again and there are my options to try. We then went to the dining room for our main course. Having already studied the menu I knew what I was going to get for my entree. I went with the Chicken Parmesan which comes with Fettuccine Alfredo. Once ordered our food came out pretty quickly. I love had they pair the Chicken Parmesan with the Fettuccine Alfredo because the Marinara and the Alfredo pair perfectly together. For sure prefer it over a Marinara based pasta sauce. The Fettuccine was fresh and cooked perfectly and the Alfredo was very flavorful. The Chicken Parmesan was a nice large piece with plenty of sauce and the 3 cheese blend was very good too. The chicken was maybe just a bit overcooked but still very good. Not super dry like some I have had before. Was very happy we came back to Prati to give them another try. Will for sure be back again.

Chicken parm, tomato basil soup, truffle fries, handmade soda- berry and vanilla
    Marina G.

I've always loved coming here and would recommend it to others for the great service and atmosphere! However, this visit was a bit different. Other tables seemed to get more attention, and our service wasn't as attentive as I've experienced before. Our server briefly checked in after we got our food, but the last time I didn't really hear her, so I wasn't able to respond before she walked away rather quickly. We asked for more sauce for the fries but never got it and didn't get a chance to ask again. We also waited a bit for our check. The food was mostly good! The tomato basil soup was disappointing, it tasted like tomato sauce you get from a can, 2/10. The truffle fries are my absolute favorite, 10/10! The chicken parm was also delicious, 10/10! I expected the soda drink to be sweet since it was vanilla and berry, but it wasn't, it was rather sour and not fruity, 4/10. Overall, it was an okay visit, especially compared to the other times I have been, but I'll still likely return for the fries and chicken parm.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Jacksonville. The food is absolutely to die for, and they make the best espresso martini I've had anywhere in Jacksonville. Pro tip: order it with Baileys! The staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming, which is one of the many reasons I find myself here at least once a week. I usually sit at the bar but also have had great experience with the waitresses/waiters. My go-to appetizers are the cheese curds and garlic bread, both are amazing. My husband's favorite is the pizza (also to die for), and I can't recommend the chicken parmesan enough. I've also had the mac and cheese side, which is a 10/10, and the short rib is another standout dish that's absolutely worth ordering. I've honestly never had a bad meal here. My only request would be to bring the cheese curds back to the regular menu because it is my #1 favorite food of all time. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, amazing drinks, and friendly service.

This was our second visit to Prati Italia, and I have mixed feelings. Our first experience was excellent. We went for brunch and had the sugo pasta and steak & eggs. Both dishes were flavorful, well prepared, and generously portioned. However, our most recent visit on Father's Day wasn't quite as impressive. My husband ordered the pork chop special and said it was good, though he wasn't a fan of the sweet sauce that accompanied it. I had the shrimp and grits, which tasted fine, but the portion was surprisingly small. I easily could've eaten a second plate. Even my friend, who usually doesn't eat much, commented on how small the serving was. Overall, Prati Italia still offers great food, quick service, and a beautiful setting both inside and out. I just wish the portion size of my dish had matched the quality.

Stopped in for girls night and had such a great time, I only got a pic of the truffle fries (which were delicious btw). We got a range of different dishes ranging from pizza to a grilled chicken Caesar salad and pasta. Everything was delicious! I wish I remembered our servers name bc he was so sweet and helpful. Beautiful restaurant and perfect spot for a night out with friends. Full bar and great drink options. Fun to have a view into the kitchen too.

Was staying at a nearby hotel and needed to get dinner. Someone had recommended this spot so we dined without a reservation. Upon arrival, I appreciated the aesthetic on the inside. For starters we ordered the Brussels sprouts--in my opinion, could've been sweeter and maybe with some other type of cheese except blue. I didn't have a huge appetite so I ended up eating the chef's soup of the day which was Zuppa Toscana. It was way too salty for my liking, couldn't even finish the whole portion. My partner ordered a pizza and was quite disappointed as well. Due to the disappointments, we opted with not order dessert. The food didn't meet my expectations and I don't think I'd return.

Last time I was there, they did not. However that could have changed. Their GF items are delicious and I've never had a reaction I am celiac.

I grabbed a seat at the bar while we waited and got a margarita (standard). The margarita was really light and refreshing but fairly underwhelming (had a blood orange piece in it but no lime). Guess I just like my margaritas truly traditional. We ordered the hummus for an appetizer and also got the bread (which comes with roasted garlic, sun-dried tomatoes and a full roasted garlic glove to spread). I loved the free bread but really REALLY loved the hummus. I've had many variations of hummus and this was my favorite thus far. See photos and menu, but this is a must. I must have been so enamored with the hummus because I forgot my picture of the Margherita pizza. The pizza was fairly standard for me but it was standard in a good way. The basil popped off this pizza and must've been hand picked to be so flavorful. For dessert, we got a complimentary house made ice cream. It was vanilla but had olive oil, caramel, sea salt and something else on top that we had to stir in. The combo was amazing! Absolutely recommend this place but expect it to be very busy between 6-8PM. Get reservations!

They mention that the still or sparkling is in a glass bottle for the table. They did not tell us that the bottle was $9 and we could not find it in the menu. I asked toward the end of dinner how much a bottle would have been. We had bruschetta for an appetizer. It was very tasty, but a bit on the soft side. I'm used to bruschetta being served on toasted or grilled bread. We each had a side house salad with our dinners. These were fine. Hubby had chicken Marsala which he had ordered before. Very flavorful! I had Chicken Frances Ala Límon. The top cutlet was browned nicely. The bottom cutlet not so much. The sauce is very lemony which I really enjoy, but both sauces were on the thicker side ... sort of like gravy. Both of us enjoyed the taste but not the heaviness of the sauces. The seats were very comfortable. There was "live" music but not at all what I would have expected. A young woman sang along to tracks that I believe were from YouTube as every time she'd go to another song, there was a commercial that would come on first. It seemed she might have a nice voice but it was hard to tell as her system was a bit lacking. Not at all what I had seen on the website or what others commented on. I would suggest not having live music if it will be like what we had tonight.
