I believe my total visit was less than 4 minutes, so I do not believe I was taking up an excessive amount of time. As offensive as it is when male doctors tell female patients they are hysterical--that the problem is in their heads, when the blood says they are sick--at least it is common and easy enough to solve the problem yourself. But I have never witnessed anything like #2 before. I've volunteered as an advocate in a lupus patients group after helping my mom get diagnosed and treated. To ask a patient for photographic proof of a self-reported symptom, instead of perhaps asking more questions about it... To basically just say, I don't believe you, prove it?
