I've been coming here for the last 8 years now and it's honestly a hit or miss. The lady who usually does my eyebrows, her name is Primple, she does an amazing job and shapes my eyebrows the way I like them. Everytime I go, I ask for her. Today, I went with my mom to go do our eyebrows and Primple was busy so we went to a different lady and I think it was the BIGGEST MISTAKE. She did my eyebrows way too thick the first time, and the second time, she fixed them, one was thinner than the other. I thought third time might be the charm, but my arch is different on both eyebrows. I'm devastated!! At the end, I just left and she KNEW I was unhappy but scurried me out quickly as there were other customers waiting. YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO BE WORKING IN A SALON WITH YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ATTITUDE. She also messed up my mom's eyebrows as well. Both are uneven and still have stray hairs on both. This lady went and tried to fix it two times already. This is how you lose customers. I've been a loyal customer for 8 years but I don't think I will step foot into this business again. Look at your reviews, you obviously have a problem with your establishment when everyone is rating it 1 stars and you still don't seem to be fixing any of the issues that arise. HORRIBLE. DON'T EVER COME HERE. Came in to get an ombré. As the owner previously told me, she knew how to do ombré and told me to book an appointment and that it would take 1 1/2 hours. Well: 1. I booked my appt for 6pm, showed up 15 mins early and ended up waiting there till 6:50 2. After showing her the colour of ombré I wanted she spent another 30 minutes running around helping walk-in clients while I sat there. Need I remind you I had an appt booked for 6PM. 3. She did not bleach my hair properly... Nor did she DO MY OMBRÉ PROPERLY. 4. I refused to pay her in the end as she wasted 3 1/2 of my time to dye half my head blonde. It wasn't even ombré. I argued saying I was paying for an ombré and not this. She then proceeded to threaten to call the police if I didn't pay saying she worked hard on this and this is ombré You think being the owner of two salon locations and being in the business for so long she'd know what ombré is? I would give the salon as a whole a poor rating. The service is bad. The owner is rude and Doesn't always value appointments made. With that being said. I only go there for a leg wax and I Only get it done by Manju. She is absolutely lovely and does a great job. I only go to her. So if you need waxing done ask for her. What do you really expect when waxing? The esthetician was quick and made waxing as smooth as possible. I only had an hour on my lunch break and was able to walk in on a Friday at 1:00pm with no wait. I thought the esthetician was friendly and welcoming. I have already booked my next appointment. This is the absolute worst place to go to. They will fuck up your eyebrows and have inexperienced people have to wax your arms and not know how to do it properly. I got my eyebrows done and she messed it up . I got my arms waxed and she forgot to wax so many places because there was so much hair i could see. Second of all she forgot to powder them so your skin doesn't start to peel and i have had a week of my skin peeling and it was soo ugly. I had to go to a wedding that same day. She used different wax thinking it was my skin that was the problem. She forgot to blow on the wax as it was too hot and now i have burn marks on my skin...... this place doesnt even deserve a star. Lastly, the guy who runs the place is not even apologetic and still expected me to pay for that service. I hope none of you all go there if you want to keep your skin intact!!! read more

This was my third time going to Prayosha and I was very dissatisfied with the service. The girl who was doing my eyebrows plucked one hair at a time and I asked for a simple clean. I don't know why my one eyebrow was an arch and one was curved. I also do not understand how you can change a shape when someone asked you to clean the eyebrows! I had arches on both sides before this horrid service. My eyebrows used to be sisters... now they are nemises. I am completely dissatisfied and also embarrassed by my brows. I will grow my eyebrows and do it elsewhere! Not only that... I was waiting for my cousin to finish doing her stuff so that I could pay for both. The man wanted me to pay before she was done and he charged me for only two eyebrows. My cousin did her upper lip and her sideburns as well. I would've felt more comfortable to pay after we both had finished, but it seemed as though he wanted payment right away. We left the store and the lady that did my cousin came running after us and rudely called us back into the store. They did not bother to apologize for making an error nor did the man who collected my earlier payment apologize for the attitude of the lady that called us back in. I will never go here again! Over time threading service has kept declining. A lot of inexperienced people doing threading. Make mistakes then dont take accountability. Have gone for many years when convenient, but have now have had too bad many experiences in which I will not return or recommend. read more

Recently went for a facial. I would 0 for Hygiene. The woman handed me a wrap around to change into and it was dirty as if it hasn't been washed in weeks. It looks like they use the same one over and over without washing. I was curious if they use the dirty one all the time n checked the other rooms and 2 other rooms also had the dirty ones so..No a clean place to get anything done. I have been there several time.for eyebrow threading and it's fine. No complain regards to that. read more

I've heard good things about this place so I decided to stop in for a Facial. Upon entry was sketch, the staff looked at me like I was lost until I asked if they offer facial services then they got up to greet me. Meh. The prices were average to high so I was hopeful they'd do a good job, however it was very BASIC, I felt like I asked one of my friends to do it at home. No knowledge or information about products being used on my skin which was a bit concerning considering there are others with sensitive skin. And to be honest based on smell, it smelled like she used cheap lotion from Walmart on my face mixed with salt and I knew it was salt because when finished I had salt all over my hair line, lips (I could taste it) and shirt. And then did not even clean me off 100%! I had residue of her salt/lotion mixture and mask all over me when leaving and I didn't realize how bad it was until I got in my car. Clearly no attention to detail. If the prices were low to moderate I wouldn't complain but they're charging high prices for shitty services, and I work hard for my money so Id rather give it to hard working honest business's instead of rude people willing to take your money and cant wait to get you out. So beware if you sensitive don't go here, your face might fall off. P.s they don't charge tax if you pay cash. read more

THE WORST SPA/HAIR SALON I HAVE EVER GONE TO. I love getting my hair done and have tried a few places over the years. I figured that since this place was close to my parents house and looked pretty nice, I would try it out. I went there on a Wednesday with an appointment booked for 3pm. LONG story short: I asked for a highlight touch up. Nothing different to be done to my hair, use a caramel colour and cut the split ends... simple no?? Well.. 1) Appointment was half an hour late. For no reason. There was no body else in the place. 2) It took THREE (3) ... yes THREE.. HOURS to accomplish my request. 3) You could see my roots.. I mean half an inch of roots... the next day when I took a minute to check it out 4) CHOPPED my hair to pieces... not even following any type of shape 5) There were three people working on my hair (one was pregnant) 6) One lady asked me to 'help' her and hand her foil... she plopped a whole stack in my lap. When I was texting my friend to change the time to meet up after, because this place was taking so long, the lady says 'sorry am i interrupting you... I need a piece of foil... don't worry you'll see them after.' 7) They got hair dye on my shirt.. I mean two blotches on my back... mid back... explain this ?!? 8) Went back the next day and asked for my money back (obviously my hair was evidence enough to the TERRIBLE job they did) the manager couldn't look me in the eye and literally stared out the window for 5 minutes before calling the owner... who gave ME crap and was not in any way apologetic. 9) Three people walked out during my 3 hour hair procedure. The first two wanting a hair cut but it obviously was too long of a wait. The third.. a woman who had been waiting an hour and fifteen minutes upstairs to get wax (she had come down at least twice asking for someone to assist her or how much longer). After she left and gave them a piece of her mind.. they decided it was a great time to yell at each other in a different language for half an hour while botching my hair. I went here for a full body waxing appointment and I had a fantastic experience. I was able to book an appointment for the same day, which was extremely helpful for my schedule. I live in Vaughan and I can't come to Markham on most weeknights anyway. I had my appointment with Shilpi and found her to be very calm, considerate and gentle with me when I was experiencing pain. She was also very detailed and thorough because she went back to check that all the hair had been removed properly. She advised me on how to take care of my skin after my appointment too, so it doesn't get too dry. I appreciated all her tips! I was also very happy with how she did my eyebrows. DISASTERRRR. I always do my research when I go to places and since this once didn't have any ! I decided to give it a chance. All I asked was for manicure and to remove the gel nail polish I had.. 1- no one could find the nail removing solution. One lady sat down with me, poured 3 drops from any empty bottle on a cotton ball and wrapped it to my pinky. Then, there were TWO other girls/workers running up and down the stairs, shouting around for who has seen the new bottle. I should have just left then. 2- when they finally found the bottle, instead of soaking my fingers in a cup, as I've ALWays have it done, the Indian lady sprinkled another few drop on a bunch of cotton balls and she proceeded to wrap around each finger 3- when I asked that dipping fingers in solution is better, one of the girls working there, took emptied out a SOUP BOWL - and put it in front of me. It still had the food remnants - Diisgustinggg 4- obviously if you are stingy with nail removing solution, gel nail polish is not coming off. She scraped my nails with the metal soooo hard that she dented one nail, and literally scraped waaaay more. Pictures speak a thousand words and I will upload it. Ah ! I've never been to a place this terrible. It's unprofessional members of a family running a business they know nothing about. And it's just not the nails,.. When I went to pay, the Indian guy stopped cutting a poor guys hair, came to me. Punched in numbers. Then disappeared at the back for 5 long minutes. Then returned. Finished transaction. Went to help another worker.. All the while, his poor client looked aroun - and I knew we had the same thoughts running in our minds. read more

Do NOT go here except if you want to do waxing or threading. I came to do a pedicure and it was honestly the worst mistake I could ever make. The lady obviously didn't know what she was doing; she was reading the instructions on the bottles to see the procedures on what/how to put the product on my feet. My feet were submerged under water for I would say a good 20 seconds and for the rest of the pedicure it was out of the water. What's the point of having the water when you aren't even going to use it?? She also ended up digging so hard into my skin to take off the cuticles that I got a cut on my toe. It was so painful and cringey to watch her work on my feet because she was so terrible at it. Their prices for mani/pedicure is the same all around Markham so for the price I would say it's not worth any of it. There are 10x better places out there in Markham to get mani/pedis for the same price and are way better. read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE. I paid $45 for a basic facial + eyebrow threading. I got the facial done on Tuesday and my nose was really red by the time it was done. They assured me it would be gone by the next day, and usually when I get facials they are gone by the next day or that evening, so even though my nose actually hurt when I scrunched it, I waited a day. I came back on Saturday when it was obvious that there was scarring on my nose to talk to the lady who had done my facial and the man in charge and we were completely brushed off. When talking to the man he ignored me and continued to give a customer a haircut, responding once every minute or so. When I asked for his attention while I spoke to him he responded with "I didn't realize I would have to learn customer service from you". He absolutely refused to pay attention and told the other staff in the salon to continue with the other customers, and ignore what I said. When I tried to talk to the lady who had given me the facial he intervened and started a blowdryer so that other people could not hear what I was saying. The only thing they kept saying was "Go buy Vaseline, that will fix your problem. Just put Vaseline on your nose". Paying $45 and receiving such terrible service and then having the manager of the place be so completely flippant and rude about the entire situation is disgusting. read more

This place charged me $60 for loose side swept curls. The curls were terrible. There was too much hair spray my hair turned white. After complaining they said $50. I wasted gas and way too much money for a really ugly and unprofessional hairdo. I was extremely disappointed and I will never go back. This place charges way too much for mediocre at best work. Terrible unprofessional service. They were not busy when I went in on a weekday but rushed with waxing and did an awful job. Needed to be told to do it again and still did not aim to remove all the hair again. I felt like I was bothering them. There was no sense of customer service. The elderly lady at the counter was extremely rude. Charged tax if paying with debit, I had cash and she didn't mention anything. They also do not accept credit cards. Every time I visit, they have different staff - reflects a poor business. With many other opinions in the area, I'll never be returning here again. read more

I came here a couple years ago and made a friend, the woman was so nice I didn't even feel insecure when she waxed my underarms and face. We talked about life and she was just so humble and sweet. Over time however their service became worse The women here now are extremely rude. I came in to get a full face waxing. Due to a hormonal imbalance, I have been growing a lot of hair recently and always feel embarrassed when getting it done anywhere. When I went in, they didn't say anything. Didn't tell me where to go or if I had to wait, I had been here a couple times before just to get my eyebrows and upper lip done and the service was good, that might be due to the fact that their manager was here. Anyway, when they called me up I sat in the chair and then held my hair, when she saw the amount of hair I had she said something to her friend in Gujarati. I didn't understand exactly what she said but I made it out to be something on the lines "look how much hair this one has." I didn't say anything because I didn't know if she was even talking about me. As she started waxing, she said to me, "next time don't let your hair grow out so much." I explained to her the reasoning, but she didn't really care. She took about an hour to wax my face. The most anyone ever spends on waxing my face is 30 minutes, and that's only because I get it threaded as well. While she was waxing she kept saying things to her coworker about me. I didn't stand up for myself because I was alone and felt insecure about my hair. But, once I got home I called them and asked to speak to the manager, and they said the manager was on vacation. I did not get to speak to manager unfortunately. But, I will not let this issue go, I will go back and find that woman and speak to the manager regarding this issue and get her and her friend fired. No one should ever feel that way, because everyone grows hair. Some more, some less. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE...I went to this salon to get my legs waxed and I have never ever had such a horrible experience in my life. The waxing is done on the second floor and once I got to the second floor it was DISGUSTING; it looked like it has never been cleaned in years. There was hair in the sink and all over the floor; no tissues, no soap. The lady who is doing my waxing is talking to a another co-worker in their language which i thought was highly unprofessional. To make matters worse, I got such bad rashes on my legs which I have never gotten when I go to other salons. this place is not hygienic at all and the guy at the front desk (am guessing owner???) is just money hungry and doesn't really care about providing good customer service.
