While traveling through New England this past summer, I found this small, privately owned thrift…read morestore and stopped in. I was very pleasantly surprised and went home with great items in excellent condition. Their prices are very low, in contrast to the big chain thrifts that keep raising their prices to ridiculous numbers. I was happy to support this small business, which was founded to give back to the surrounding communities. Ada, the woman managing it, told me that they support various local charitable organizations, provide free bundles of baby clothes to new mothers, and were in the process of obtaining non-profit status themselves. In addition, they launder every garment before putting their donations on the selling floor - there is nothing stained, damaged, or smelly in this shop! They have household goods and other items besides clothing, too. It's a small, somewhat crowded shop, but Ada and her staff were pleasant and professional, and I found great deals there. I highly recommend this thrift store and hope they are successful in their mission to help the less fortunate in the area. I wish I didn't live so far away, or I'd become a regular there!
