We buy 200 plus torque converters for them a year and they do a terrific job on building torque converters I recommend this company highly

The product I purchased of theirs is pretty good but my customer service experience with precision of new hampton was the worst I have ever had with any company ever. This is how it went: I call precision of new hampton about ordering a torque converter. About two hours later I was called back and told to order from their nearest distributer the next state over from me (a 4 hour drive from me, kinda inconvenient to drive that far but I needed the part) That distributor wanted to help me out and then called precision of new hampton for me in order to try and find if there was a closer distributor to me. Precision of new hampton told them the name of a distributor that was supposed to be closer but was actually even further (5 hours from me). So then I get In touch with that distributor and they made me aware of the fact that precision of new hampton has a warehouse location (with the part I needed in stock) less than 45 minutes from my address. He also suggested calling them to request an exception to their no-selling-direct-to-costomer policy In the interest of good customer service. Precision of new hampton told me they "have too many customers" already and they I would have to drive down to (the three hour away) distributer to buy my part. I really don't understand why a company would chose to do business like this. I unfortunately needed that torque converter asap and was forced to drive the next state over when the part literally exists 45 minutes away from my house. read more

Researched Torque Converters out the wazoo, wanted a very well built, robust converter for a 600whp street car. Narrowed it down to a reputable shop out of Phoenix and Precision of New Hampton. Another highly reputable national transmission builder Coan Racing recommended Precision of New Hampton on their site, so that pretty much cinched it for me. There are times when what you need and finding the shop who can make it for you out weighs the "Cost" issue. Like the old saying "It's time to S*#! or get off the pot". You get what you pay for, we did not even ask for the price, it was "just build it". And I felt they were more than fair with their pricing, for the quality converter we got in return, it was well worth it. I mean it's not a $7500 Pro-Mod converter, but for under 1K and their superior customer service, you can't go wrong. Needless to say we did the phone consult & design, paid our deposit and we had the converter in 3 days. It was from their "Racing Converters- High Performance" option. We had a fitment issue, had them on the phone and true to their word they took it back for a no-charge alteration. We had a race coming up in a week, so we paid to overnight it to them. They had it altered and back on the plane with time to spare, then even overnighted it back to us at no charge. Let me tell you, the overnighting expense was as much as a normal converter costs. This company did not have to do this, but they wanted to step up and be a team player too. This gave us time to re-install the converter, get the car back on the road, tune it for a couple days and we made it to the track on time for the huge Utah event the "801 Street Car Shoot Out". The converter performs very well, it is their Triple Disc Clutch version and so far it has performed outstanding. Smooth shifts, super efficient to minimize power lose, we are loving it. You have to see one and compare it to other converters, this Billeted converter is a work of art. The welding is some of the very best we have seen, you can just feel and see the quality. And romping up and down the freeway while tuning like we did, man, it performed amazing. They have one of if not the very best torque converters, also have rebuild kits and the pricing is very competitive, wish they had solenoids and hard parts. read more
