The owner, Jim Kirtopoulos, was always prompt, professional, innovative and realistic in his dealings with us. The Building Concepts proposal was not the low bidder but included everything required for a truly finished "turn key" project in contrast to the other Contractors who left flooring, finishing, HVAC, & electrical work, etc...up to us. Given some COVID19 supply chain delays, Jim was very flexible and forthright with the impact on the build schedule...suggesting some really great options based upon prompt availability. He designed a clever and very functional accommodation to the floor plan for an automatic "Doggie Door" with landing and ramp. His construction team and sub-contractors (Electrician/HVAC/Gutter & Downspouts) were all really good folks to deal with. We are very pleased with the completed 4 Seasons Room and highly recommend Jim Kirtopoulos & Building Concepts.

We contracted with LG for a one room extension (only). The scope was fairly simple, as plumbing…read moreand gas were NOT included on this project. Due to the company's negligence, lack of accessibility and disorganization, the project encountered numerous issues which led to insurmountable delays. The contract indicated a 120-day timeline, this project took an unacceptable seven months to complete. Some examples of LG's dereliction include: 1. Ineffective subcontractors. Three of them (gutters, flooring, mason) were replaced after extended periods of haplessness. 2. Lyman Gilbert, the principal of LG, was constantly unavailable or unreachable while issues occurred on-site. Lyman was on vacation often throughout the project and did not return calls or texts. 3. Re-work was constant, leading to further delays. 4. The subcontractors that did complete work were rude and lacked integrity. 5. LG lacks expertise in several areas, most importantly HVAC. I have never filed a complaint like this before but LG's performance was so egregiously unsatisfactory, I feel compelled to warn others before they commit to a similarly dysfunctional project.

They also painted our 50yr old oak kitchen cabinets and painted a few rooms, hallways, etc. They helped with style recommendations and paid attention to all of the details (picking out hardware for the cabinets, recommending tile layout, finding a gallon of paint that the store mixed incorrectly and figuring out we had picked an incorrect grout color). We started a new porch and siding project with another contractor. That contractor was so bad that the town inspector said it was the worst siding work he had ever seen. All the siding and trim had to be removed and replaced. Gleydson Martins of Apollo 13 came in and corrected everything in a month. He continued to fix additional things as they were uncovered. He fixed siding, trim, framing, roofing, flashing, etc.. He was able to do anything required, wanted the work to be done correctly and was very responsive to our thoughts and concerns.
