I had torn my labrum in my right shoulder about 10 years ago and always had found ways to work around it when lifting. However, in november 2020, I reinjured it badly. I decided to go to multiple physical therapists for the next 1.5 years and it never was getting better. I decided to go to Dr. Steve in May 2022 and I can honestly say he's the best physical therapist I've ever been to (I've been to many over the last ten years for my shoulder). Instead of just giving you band work like most other physical therapists, Steve gave a ton of different exercises that were able to strengthen my shoulder, improve my posture, and eventually get my shoulder to the best it's ever been in my life. In my personal experience, I feel like most physical therapists get your shoulder to the point it doesn't hurt in everyday life, but Steve is able to get my shoulder to the point I can workout and lift heavy weight again. My shoulder was in great shape after seeing Steve for a few months, but I continued going to him for the next year for other miscellaneous aches / pains like lower back and hip issues. Unfortunately, I'm moving from LA and don't know the next time I'll be back, but whenever another injury pops up, I'd rather pay the money for the flight to LA and see Steve than find another physical therapist. Working out at Paradiso has been a massive life improvement for me. I've been working out with Dr. Dan, and he has been so helpful. I'm stronger than I have ever been in my life. Trevor has been my physical therapist/trainer and he has been amazing! I had a bunch of various injuries and pain/inflammation in my shoulder, elbow and rotator cuff after a broken collar injury plus back injuries from a car accident. Trevor has been able to work out most if not all my kinks through various PT methods. He's been using Graston, stretching, cupping, massage and then getting into various resistance bands and weighted training to help strengthen specific muscle groups. It has worked immensely. I starting coming to Prehab2Perform nearly two years ago at the recommendation of a friend. Despite considering myself in decent shape, I couldn't do a simple squat or lunge and was having foot pain that prevented me from running for 5 years. I have been working with Trevor for about ten sessions for Physical Therapy. It has been the best decision I have ever made during my injury process. The work we do not only helps me feel my muscles are becoming stronger to support buldge for discs from a car accident, but also help me emotionally feel supported in changing my body to become stronger. I had been struggling with my shoulder for about 3 months. I started going to physical therapy after month 2 with a physical therapist that my doctor referred me to. I've been working with Steve after having gone through surgeries, chemo and radiation, consistently since March 2017. (2-3 times a week, except when traveling, sick or scheduling issue) The "C" treatment took a toll on me physically and mentally from extreme upper body tightness, wrist/hand pain & numbness, severe back and left hip pain to losing ironman passion. Steve helped me get stronger and gain confidence by focusing more on mobility and flexibility initially and gradually incorporating strength training, prehabing and personal training. I've been working with Steve for a year now and I don't plan on stopping. I have(had?) two bulging discs in my neck that have given me issues for the last 5 years. Once a year it would get so bad I would be hospitalized and in a lot of pain. Then I'd go right back to physical therapy provided by my insurance. I was referred to Steve by a friend and I'm now paying out of pocket, and it's worth every penny. Haven't had a setback since and he does a great job of listening to your issues and changing the routine based on what he knows will correct it. I understand insurance is cheaper then paying out of pocket but I can promise you it's not. After 4 years of paying a deductible and not getting anywhere, I've spent less money going to Steve for a year and feel much better. Just remember, no matter who you go to you're gonna have to work on it outside of your appointments, but be ready to work and feel great. read more

I have a terrible range of motion. I've never stretched properly before exercise--which is part of the problem. The times that I had attempted warm ups, I didn't notice that much of a difference during or after the workout. I took Steve's course, Prehab 2 Perform and now I get it. You have to know HOW to stretch and strengthen supportive muscles to feel the benefits. The class is quite simple to follow. You attempt a movement: a squat, overhead position, etc. He then shows you the fastest way to stretch/mash/activate the muscles that allow you to get full range of motion in that movement. Steve and his wife, Lindsay are both very patient and good at coaching through some of the discomfort. It is worth it. When you actually feel the difference, it is easier to motivate and properly prepare to train. I highly recommend the Prehab 2 Perform course. read more

They really take the time to figure out the issue/concern, then carefully explain to you "why it is happening" and "how it can be improved." I came to them for an overall physical overview and with a slight shoulder, muscle-spasm and Steve carefully outlined a plan to get back to proper form. This was achieved through proper instruction of stretches and movements to improve mobility. I tore my ACL and had surgery in May 2016 in Jacksonville, FL. My physical therapist said a former colleague had moved to Venice and opened up a PT place. I looked up Steve and reached out. He got back to me asap. His pricing is very fair! He gives you his 100%+ attention and is super knowledgeable. He switches up the exercises so you're never bored. He knows how to comfortably push you to your limit. I've been seeing Steve for the past 6 months and I feel the best I've ever felt. I didn't work out much before my accident but he's helped me create a regimen. He's a great therapist and always available whenever one may have questions! If your schedule, is crazy, he goes above and beyond to squeeze you in even if he has to wake up earlier or stay later.
