I've been going back and forth with them for the last year showing that the EoB shows insurance has been paid out. My physicals/ wellness visits are to be covered at 100%. and it says so on my insurance card. They attempted to charge me $95 at the visit, but after I protested and explained to them that I have a ppo plan that is in network with bcbs and they still charged me $25 copay. I gave them $25 that they refused to reimburse. Secondly, during the visit I asked to have my script refilled and they said it was a "formality" to get drug tested because it is a controlled substance anxiety med and they need to make sure I'm not drug seeking. I took the test because I felt obligated to prove that I would pass, as well as get my script, but I felt so embarrassed and low. I've never had any other doctor do this, especially because I infrequently take this med. Fast forward nearly a year later, and I get a notification from an out of network testing facility for said drug test... the doctor sent the drug test to an out of network diagnostics facility and now I owe $441. Lastly, the facility is not maintained and dirty. The equipment they use is really out-dated. It looks like a shady walk-in clinic.

I have seen two doctors here, had several physicals here, and consider them my primary care physicians. PROS: They do blood work on site, and the doctors will review with you your blood work after every physical. I was found to be low on Vitamin D and given a powerhouse D scrip which got me back on track a few years back. Useful. CONS: Hurry up and wait: They ALWAYS run late Missed Medical issues: these guys missed chronic anemia for years (that ultimately resulted in emergency surgery for me when caught by another doctor) AND a thyroid issue for about 7 years, also caught and treated by another doctor- wow did my life improve. Expensive tests: I was told to get about $1000 of imaging - I had the results sent to the requesting Healthmark physician and a secondary doctor. The secondary doctor was shocked they would send me for this imaging as she felt it was expensive and unnecessary. This was reflected when I went back to Healthmark- My Doctor who wanted the imaging could not FIND the images or report and shrugged and said, oh well- and it did not change her diagnosis or recommendations- SO CLEARLY the imaging was NOT needed. The in-house referral system: Additionally, there is a lot of pressure to give up your own doctors, and go to the Healthmark associates. I have managed to avoid this, but there is a huge amount of pressure. See THEIR Dermatologist, THEIR OBGYN. No thanks. As I am getting really good advice from the ones I have been seeing for 20 years..... Unimpressive: All in all, I have had no major breakthroughs in Health here and two significant complete misses: The same old stuff you get in magazines: Keep your weight down, eat well, exercise. There has never been an offer for a flu shot, and they recommend going to Walgreens for vaccinations....so, um... Hmm. I am not impressed. I switched Doctors from Dr. Vanduzer-Moore whom I found rather hateful, disengaged, and semi-retired in mind if not in body. Dr. Haber and Dr VM missed the thyroid issue, clearly apparent to other Drs. when they reviewed the same bloodwork. Hmmm. Why am I still using these guys???

This place definitely gets a gold star for customer service!!!…read more I was scheduled for what I thought was a bone density exam but the technician was walking me to the lab for bloodwork. I asked I thought this was a bone density exam. After back and forth about the appointment the technician looked up my order and sure enough I was booked in the wrong section. She then proceeded to tell me that they normally don't take walk ins but I can ask. So the technician walked me to the correct office and sure enough I received the same canned statement. I then said I took the day off for this is there a way i can get in? The clerk went to the back and asked a technician and sure enough she said I can get fit in. All in all the procedure took about10 minutes. Way less time than to drive to the appointment and the hassle of figuring it out but it's done and all came out well. And I can't forget to mention about the great valet service I received as well. Top notch!!!

My spouse recently had major surgery at UCHealth Cherry Creek, which was also her very first…read moresurgery and exposure to general anesthesia. While some aspects of her care were excellent, our overall experience was deeply distressing due to the conduct of certain post‑operative nursing staff. First, I want to acknowledge the providers who delivered outstanding care. Dr. Bouchard was excellent: clear, thorough, and compassionate in both pre‑operative and post‑operative communication. The attending resident was likewise excellent, demonstrating strong clinical skill and a respectful bedside manner. These physicians gave us confidence in the procedure and took our concerns seriously. Unfortunately, the quality of care in the post‑operative area did not reflect the same standard. After surgery, my spouse was slow to wake from anesthesia and in excruciating pain. While she was still groggy and doing her best to communicate her pain, one of the nurses was noticeably impatient, dismissive, and appeared focused on the fact that it was near closing time rather than on my spouse's condition. When adjusting the bed, this nurse repeatedly moved the head of the bed up and down very quickly, causing my spouse to scream in pain. There was no apparent attempt to pause, slow down, or modify her approach in response to my spouse's obvious distress. A second nurse was also rude and unhelpful until one of the anesthesiologist helped my wife. At a time when my spouse was barely emerging from anesthesia and struggling with severe pain, this nurse asked, "I don't know what else to do for you, what else is going to help you?" The burden was effectively placed on a post‑operative patient, rather than the nurse using her clinical expertise to assess, problem‑solve, and advocate for appropriate pain management and supportive measures. It was especially alarming that this nurse then suggested that my spouse might need to be transported by ambulance and admitted to a hospital, framed in a way that felt more like a threat or a way to move her out of the recovery area than a thoughtful clinical recommendation. From a patient‑centered care and safety perspective, this experience was unacceptable. My spouse was vulnerable - just out of surgery, in severe pain, and slow to wake from anesthesia, yet she was made to feel like an inconvenience. The tone, rushing, lack of empathy, and apparent prioritization of closing time over patient comfort and safety were completely inconsistent with the standard of compassionate care we expected from UCHealth. If we had known this was how the post‑operative nursing care would be handled, we would have requested a different facility. Patients undergoing major surgery, especially for the first time, deserve nurses who are clinically competent, patient, and empathetic, and who respond to pain and delayed emergence from anesthesia with professionalism and care - not frustration, dismissiveness, or implied pressure to leave because it is near closing time. I would strongly encourage UCHealth to review staffing, training, and culture in the post‑operative area at this location, to ensure that other patients and families do not have to endure the same experience.

I had been struggling with mold toxicity along with a host of other symptoms and felt truly stuck, but he completely changed that for me. From the very beginning, he listened so well and really took the time to hear my whole story. Prior, I had seen my PCP, an allergist, and had countless visits to urgent care where they all could not find a cause for what I was experiencing, recommending I address "anxiety." On the other hand, NP Yu explained everything in a way I could actually understand, breaking down everything and helping me see the bigger picture of what was going on in my body. He identified the right testing, uncovered clear biological markers, and built a comprehensive plan to address the root issues. For the first time, I felt like I wasn't just being treated for symptoms, I was actually being cared for as a whole person. Because of his guidance, I've experienced dramatic improvements that I never thought were possible, and also genuinely learned so much. What really sets him apart is not just his knowledge, but the way he genuinely cares. I left every appointment feeling heard, understood, hopeful, and supported. If you're on the fence about functional medicine like I once was, I can honestly say NP Yu is the person who can help open that door for you. He's made such a difference in my life, and I'm truly grateful.

Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering this provider to take my feedback into account. I found Dr. Taravella's bedside manner to be unprofessional and disappointing. During my pre-operative appointment, the nurse repeatedly said the doctor would be in shortly to review what would be happening during my surgery. I could hear other physicians meeting with and speaking directly to their patients, but I did not see or hear from my doctor prior to surgery. Another physician did come in and clearly explained what would be happening, which I appreciated. I did not interact with Dr. Taravella until I was already in the operating room. Even then, during the first eye surgery, he did not speak to me at all and instead conversed with what I assume were fellows present during the procedure. During one of my four post-operative appointments, I waited approximately 55 minutes to be seen. Dr. Taravella spent a total of about four minutes with me and simply stated that I was "healing nicely." He did not review my vision prescription, share my eye pressure results, or address the questions I had documented during my initial screening, specifically whether the ORA testing produced different results than my initial consultations. This was particularly frustrating given that this testing incurred a significant out-of-pocket cost that was not covered by insurance. For clarity and full transparency, I want to note that the pre-op and post-op staff, check-in staff, and other post-operative physicians were outstanding. I saw three different physicians across my four post-operative appointments, all of whom provided excellent care. My concerns are specific to the surgeon who performed the procedure. In hindsight, I wish I had selected a different physician for my surgery.
