The drivers are knowledgeable, offering bits of history as you go from stop to stop. Whether it was century old speculation on Charles Parnell's love life, or the very real and sad, yet also heroic ones of the Easter Rising of 1916, we couldn't get enough. One of the best recommendations we received, was on local Trinity Prof Micheál Ó Siochrú's book on Olive Cromwell in Ireland. I would highly recommend "God's Executioner". As our guide pointed out, Cromwell spent only nine months in Ireland, so it's hard to blame him for everything. For us the only down side to CityScape was the apparent lack of buses, compared to it's competition. We too, sat outside the Guinness Storehouse, as other Yelp'ers have noted, while buses went by. And yes, our driver went inside to, er, pickup additional passengers. LOL. It's all part of the charm of Dublin. Enjoy!

It also did not follow the route to to the Zoo the next morning and rather went down the Quay towards the City Center while my husband and I waited on Parkgate. (it was supposed to hit parkgate after the zoo) I was stuck on the bus for 30 minutes while they changed shifts. Another 10 minutes sitting at another stop because he apparently was driving too fast to the next stop. His monologue consisted of snarky comments about big businesses in Ireland avoiding taxes and the waste of taxpayer money on the millennial tower. Finally, and maybe it's because I am a 'new' tourist, there are, I think THREE hop on and hop off services. They do NOT accept each other's fares. When we bought this at the KIOSK there was NO warning that not all Hop ons and Hop offs are alike. Buyer beware!

I am a disabled sriver so this annn no issue that affects me day in and day out . However the attitude I got when I pointed pointed out he couldnt park in a disabled parking bay was simply appalling . I initially did what any reasonable person would do and waited a few minutes to see if the driver would return and then I called the company who said they would call the driver . eventually after waiting 15/20 minutes I was forced to try and get parking elsewhere which thankfully I did but it was for me as someone with mobility issues very difficult to get back . When I eventually identified the driver his attitude stunk to high heaven . Not once ounce of contrition , no a simple apology . all he done was point out the other vehicle parked there , with a blue badge and say " what about him " . after trying to tell him that vehicle had a blue badge and every right to be in their bay he dismissed me like I was something he couldn't be bothered to deal with . I had taken a photo of the vehicle blocking the bay and emailed the company several hours ago asking that a complaint be registered . I have not had as much as an acknowledgment from the company to say my email had been received . The law on the issue is simple and clear . nobody without a blue badge can park on a disabled parking bay and you must not either block a disabled parking bay . this is something this company appears unable or unwilling to accept which is simply appalling . The drivers and it appears the management need to know the law as regards disabled parking bays . And they need to know it fast . regards edward O Neill

Not that easy to find if you haven't been before. Acres of free parking with the 1st floor restaurant in the main terminal building overlooking the ramp and runway. The restaurant, recently rebranded as Derbys but looks the same to me, was quiet as was the field. My companion ordered the full Irish and I asked for scrambled eggs on/in toast (see below) His breakfast was the usual mix of sausage, bacon, egg, mushrooms and beans. My eggs were something else. I'd never had a scrambled egg sandwich before with a handful of crisps on the side. Peculiar to say the least. The server put it down to my saying scrambled egg IN toast as opposed to scrambled egg ON toast. Nope, me either. That said, a perfectly adequate repast accompanied by plenty of coffee and good chat passed a pleasant hour or so. Whilst I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, it's not bad and a reasonable fuel stop.

After a 15 km walk down the coast, and a bit inland, from Dublin 3 this particular DART ( Dublin…read moreArea Rapid Transit) ) station was the first one I had been in and actually used to get a train ( back up to Dublin 3 ). The station is just down the road from the center shopping district, has good direction signage, both automated ticket machines as well as a person in a booth and even has a display telling you how long you will have to wait for your next train. About 2 1/2 Euro, and 25 minutes later, the station in Dublin 3 that I needed, Clontarf Road, was in sight.
