I believe that Icon Realty was involved in hacking my bank account. I leased an apartment in the heart of las olas/Fort Lauderdale from December 2016, from Atlantic loft llc. I agreed to pay a 2 month security deposit of $2400 as well as first, last and security (pretty standard) got my key, etcétera. After 2 different companies handling our property, ICON Realty came in January 2020 and revamped property by implementing a ***online payment service ***** aka , a way to get into your bank account. I questioned who this is and why I had to use this system to pay, not only to be replied with "It is our new system and you have to use it, you must pay rent this way or consult your attorney" As I went ahead and used it but decided to not renew my upcoming ending lease of 3/30/20. I emailed, texted and explain that I would not be renewing the lease because not only I don't trust the payment system, I had a very difficult time communicating with Benjamin (who by the way runs the whole thing). He ignored all my calls and the ones he replied, he did very rudely. I promptly moved out on schedule and handed him the keys along with my original lease agreement. He took the keys and said that He did not have a refund and I would need to wait 30 days to receive one on the mail. Now 30 days later. My bank account has been HACKED and bank investigated the multiple charges leading back to that January rent payment. I have been getting random withdrawals from different wiring entities totaling over 1k so far. Due to covid19, I can not yet file a claim in court. And the reason I am writing this is to WARN tenants and landlords about companies like this! I am attaching the refund check I just received. What a joke! See you in court.

First Financial was a buoy in a very deep sea of conflicting information and advice…read more I worked with Cindy Watson who is knowledgeable and a very straight shooter. I like to get what I want, and I am not shy about asking, and she does not pull punches when the customer is wrong and will fail. A few reviews down it looks like someone didn't get the answer they wanted and felt Cindy was condescending because perhaps she was not going to tell them what they wanted to hear -- good for her. Expertise is what I went to her for and that is what she gave me. She is busy - you will need to deal with a 'scheduling layer' before you can get to her and you'll feel you are one of 100 customers she is working with. If she were lousy that might really have put me off, but she spent a lot of time, relatively speaking, on my loan, answering my questions and providing me direct advice I could understand. My processor was Mary Sweeney. I was told to expect good results working with her and that is exactly what I got. Very helpful; very fast responses. Most of all I had to contend with a government shutdown in the midst of my SBA application and constantly got good information from First Financial. In fact through some stroke of brilliance they knew to put in my application with the SBA before the rest of the bank information was fully baked, just as the political situation broke down, so I had a "File Number" a day or so before the shutdown occurred. That alone saved my launch plan. If you want to learn how to do this and chart your own path, I would go elsewhere; if you want people who know what to do and will tell you the steps to succeed, this is it.
