The kind of handbag that literally doesn't exist. Anywhere - or so I was beginning to believe. After days of trawling through all of the usual suspects on the high street, the site of the mythical object, tucked away within the hallowed walls of Domo, was enough to bring tears to my eyes. But wait, there was more. Not only was the item in question far cheaper than I had expected, but when I went to the till to pay, I was informed that it was "buy one get one free" on everything in the shop. Everything! So, as it turned out, Domo managed to not only save Christmas, but also grant me a brand new laptop bag, completely free of charge. So there you have it - get down to Domo and bag yourself a bargain. (Sorry, I couldn't resist).

On the leather front they stock their own range of handbags as well as Radley bags at discounted prices e.g. from £135 to £99.95. They also stocked leather purses as well as a large range of leather jackets and briefcases. There were some reasonable mens shirts and suits and a selection of blouses, which were not really to my taste. They also stocked a small selection of jewellery, none of which I found that inspiring.

I had to go in here just because it looks like such a homely and inviting shop. I had no idea from…read moreoutside what it actually sold but when has that ever stopped me! They actually sell mostly handbags, purses and accessories. The way everything is presented makes you feel like your buying a one off item in a boutique and well there's lots of pretty things to look at. I especially like the jewellery. Price wise it's not too ridiculous. Most of the bags seem to cost around £50, so not quite designer prices but you do get quality and something a bit different.

This whole shop is dedicated to Ollie & Nic products and while it may not be so cheap as TK Maxx, it does offer a much more comprehensive range of their purses, wallets, wash bags, hand bags and other accessories. They do lots of leather goods such as coloured leather messenger-style handbags, old-skool satchels, big oversized shoulder bags, and vintage totes. Their purses are available in a similar range of leathers, and they also do some patterned material products such as their cosmetic bags. All their stuff is of a very high quality and lasts for ages, so while the price tag is quite high you're getting what you pay for.

Instant Services has managed to stand the test of time against the likes of Timpson thanks to their…read morefriendly staff and great location, in the heart of St Nicks Market. As well as key cutting the other main service provided here is the fixing of shoes, which is a blessing when you own as many as I do! My flatmates and I have often taken bags of boots, heels and the like in to be resoled or reheeled and the chaps behind the counter have always been helpful. The prices are fairly average (around £4 to reheel a pair of shoes) and the service is always with a smile. If Instant Services can't fix whatever you bring in then they are always happy to recommend another shop that might be able to help, which is the mark of a successful and contented business. In my experience service can take a few hours depending on what you want but that gives you a chance to explore the rest of the market. You can of course drop something off and pick it up on a later date.

There's a large denim section on the ground floor, along with the ladieswear, whilst upstairs there's a large mens section, offering both a range of smart clothing and suits, as well as casual wear and accessories, with watches and belts at particularly reasonable prices. Denim is their main focus, and Dulay is one of the largest denim retailers in the south west. They stock all the main brands like Levi and Wrangler, but cheaper than you're likely to find elsewhere. A good team of staff (which is quite large - there's always someone available to assist) complete the package for a very good shop.

Dulay isn't a place I'd even considered before, to be perfectly honest, but as I found myself walking past I decided to go in and check it out. They do a good range of jeans - although I couldn't find any baggy enough for my preference, there's plenty to choose from if you're into average leg widths. The staff are friendly, but not overbearing as they can be in other places and the prices aren't bad either. I didn't pick anything up this time, but I'm sure I'll head back at some point in the future.
