I wish I could give zero stars. This doctor is so rude and only cares about money, he never spent more than a minute or two in the room with me. He never listened to any of my concerns. The staff told me that I couldn't take the medicine the surgeon prescribed me after an emergency surgery or they would take me out of their program. They also wouldn't prescribe me anything. So I just didn't take any medicine after surgery and suffered. It's ridiculous. Don't ever go there! read more

I have been going to this practice for several years. My level of care has always been great. Both Physicans do an excellent job. But the person that handles the preauthorization is HORRIBLE!! I was scheduled to have a procedure and was not told that the insurance had not approved it until I was checking in to have it done. Her reason was that my insurance company could not find me in their system. So my wife called our insurance company and they called the office and talked with the woman who does the preauthorizations. They told her what they needed. The paperwork was faxed to the office. This was all started on the 11th of August. I have called every week in hopes that the paperwork has been done. I have left several messages for her and none have been returned. So I call today and finally get her on the phone only to have her tell me that she has never talked to my insurance company and that she has not received any paperwork. My wife was literally on the phone when the insurance called her. I hate to call anyone a liar but she is definitely one. IShe was so rude that I lost my cool. Then she hung up the phone on me. Dr. Buyanov, and N.P. Florica Pantea are fabulous. The staff is so welcoming and sweet. Belinda, Jessica, Rachel and Marcy are on top of things! They have helped me with my migraines tremendously, through Botox and injections. They have changed my life. Dr. Buyanov is a man of few words but his genius is undeniable. He's very courteous, but seems to be introverted. Fine by me! He is actually hilarious! He's a busy guy and cares about his patients and staff, deeply. His staff is there to keep me calm and cheery during procedures. The same is true for Florica. *I haven't had issues with this, but if you have a balance, even if you think your insurance should have paid, or whatever, you will not be seen.* I think that is totally fair. Stick to your patient agreement, with no funny business, and you will be very satisfied and will not be judged or have your pain diminished. These folks understand what you're going through. Don't be turned away from this place! It may not have the newest chairs or exam tables, but they do keep them as clean as possible! If it's not broken, why replace it right? As far as Dr. Buyanov himself, he is a very quiet but kind doctor. I have ALOT of respect for physicians that leave their country to make a better life in another and to share their expertise. He is always looking for what is the best for you as a human and a patient. The staff is kind and thoughtful and try to help you as much as they can. Their NP is kind and sees most of the patients (at least that is how it is with me...I see her for office visits and procedures are all done by Dr. Buyanov) They don't judge you before they know you which is excellent. So many other pain management physicians assume that if you are prescribed pain medication, you are an addict...WRONG. There is a difference in being addicted (meaning taking a medication incorrectly and more than you are prescribed) to being dependent (meaning you take the medication as prescribed to help you live a normal quality of life) So many ppl and even doctors can't see the difference in those words. This office is the most UNprofessional I have ever seen. 1. They post hours on their door and website if 8:00 to 1:00, but they weren't there at all at 12:00. Clinic next door says they never see them on Fridays. 2. Couldn't seem to get renewal prescription filled at H‑E‑B, and eventually learned that clinic has wrong fax number on prescription paper and didn't seem to care. H‑E‑B said they sent request to physician, and they did, but to fax number on prescription pad, which was wrong. Office didn't seem to care. Doc's office won't allow patient to make the renewal request-it has to come from pharmacy to doc. This is VERY concerning because pain doc will not prescribe more than 30 days worth of medication, no matter if you lose one down the drain or if there's 31 days in month instead of 30, or if pharmacy cannot communicate with doc's office. 3. Doc always seems very rushed and uncaring. 4. Difficult to reach anyone in office as they frequently do not answer phone and no capability to leave message. 5. This is a PAIN clinic, but I've never seen an entire staff seem so uncaring and have such lack of empathy. 6. Again, this is the most unprofessional office I have ever seen. read more

My wife has been going to premier Pain on Babcock Rd., for quite some time now. She recently started to bring her service dog to her appointments with no problems. Today 3/21/18, she arrived at her appointment with her service dog. This time however, she was hassled by one of the tech's who worked there (woman). My wife inquired as to what the problem was? The woman said the day before someone came in with a service bird (no such thing by the way) and evidently there was some sort of problem. We have a SERVICE DOG not a bird. My wife said she would sue if they refused the service dog access. read more

I am SO HAPPY to read there are happy people with the folks at Premier Pain Consultants. I have been going there for years and must admit sadly, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM! People in PAIN need caring, compassionate, concerned, HONEST, KNOWLEDGEABLE, TRUSTWORTHY CARE! ANYONE, that is seeking out "pain management" NEED COMPASSION! THIS WILL NOT BE THE PLACE to get it OR, even the slightest extra courtesy because of longevity, as a client. Their care in scheduling is off, which seems to short quite a few patients of their MUCH NEEDED medication. Then, when brought to THEIR attention, it is ALWAYS the fault of the patients and I can't tell you how many people I listened to, while in the waiting room, with my husband, complaining of being OUT of medication due to THEIR errors. I myself, was an innocent case, twice and yes, experienced withdrawals! Did the office staff OR, Dr. B seem to care? Ha! NO! I VERY SOFTLY, POLITELY, recommended to a gentleman w/a cane, who had a similar issue as described, "I'd find a different doctor, if I were you." He nodded yes. Scary experience. My first clue was how rude Dr. Buyanov was at the first consult. However a doctor might be abrupt because of something that happened with the appointment before and it could even be a sign of compassion. His manner improved, so I remembered but didn't judge. The procedure ranged from 2 hours to almost 5 hours--same shot. None of them effective. Other things occurred in the entire process combining with these that deflated my trust to zero. However I have been dealing with Marcy the office manager since March about an overpayment almost close to $1,000 my medical spending account has been depleted because of this. I have seen Dr. Buyanov for 12 years! Today I was told that they were not going to see me anymore because of a few same day cancellations! I have called EVERY SINGLE TIME and PAID THEIR FINES! They are one of the only Pain Dr.'s that take my ins. ALSO, a Few Years Ago I was pushed into getting shots in my C4 and C5, Dr. Buyanov didn't even look at My chart and screwed up and have me shots from C5 all the way up to C1, I was almost PARALYZED because He had given me the shots WITHOUT USING IMAGING, I which left me immobile for weeks (Emergency Docs said I was LUCKY to be alive), he changed my Medications WITHOUT WARNING Or TAPERING OFF THE MEDS, to something else and THEN LATER told me I was IMAGINING WITHDRAWAL Symptoms and REFUSED TO TALK TO ME, ( IT was Verified 2 days later that I was having withdrawal and what he had done to me was "UNCONSCIONABLE" and Dangerous and caused sever pain for weeks (remember I couldn't see anyone else due to Ins. or I would have left)! His Staff make you feel like SECOND CLASS PATIENTS and are rude and even aggressive! All they care about is where is their money and Want You To leave as fast as possible. Their office has torn up chairs to sit in and paint peeling off the walls, when I complained, I was told that "That's not going to change", I have been made to see every new doctor whether I liked it or not. All they want is YOUR MONEY! Even after going there for over 12 years I was told that I couldn't see the doctor when my son had taken my Credit Card out of my wallet and did not replaced it, I when said I would come back later that day with cash. ALL THEIR PATIENTS ARE IS MONEY! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT PATIENTS ! Every time I go in I, as well as all patients, are pushed and pushed to get "PROCEDURES" Even if you Don't Need One!! Premier Pain Consultants is, in my opinion, a fraudulent organization. I was referred there to see a neurologist about a possible minor stroke. The office had me fill out a bunch of paperwork, gave me a tablet to fill out an irrelevant survey (about depression and suicide), and asked for a urine sample. Weeks later I find out that they billed my insurance $250 for the irrelevant survey. Next I find out that they billed almost $4,500 for the urine test which was not ordered by the doctor or ever used by him. When I complained to them, they had two responses: 1) we do this for all patients and some insurances pay and some don't and 2) you signed papers giving us permission to do the survey and urine test! When I said I wanted to talk to the doctor about these issues, they said there would be no point, because he wouldn't be aware of these tests--it's something the office just does on it's own. I've been going to this office for about 4 yrs. I luv the Doctors,the P.A.'s,nurses & M.A.'s BUT the billing dept is soo HORRIBLE!!! The ONLY reason I'm giving 3 stars is because of the staff. I talk to someone different almost every time. They hold all the power because they tell you the amount you owe one day then when you're there for your appt they tell you something different. They demand you pay or they cancel you're appt & tell you that you have to reschedule even though you're a chronic pain patient so you have to be out of meds & suffer. Once they billed my insurance wrong & demanded almost $400 so I had no choice but to pay it then after numerous calls & months with billing they finally got it right but wouldn't give me a refund,they said they had to credit my acct & I cud use it for future copays & etc. THAT IS SO WRONG!!! The fat fake eyelash girl Marci that's there for now is so smug & thinks she's all that. I had $225 out of $242 & she wouldn't take it. I guess she would rather have nothing then 95% of it. NOT so smart is she. She obviously doesn't know what it's like to have withdrawals because you're NEVER suppose to stop you're meds like that.
