The boys found old hockey cards and I snagged a Disney Stores Mickey beanie baby in mint condition for $8. Fun to look around if you're into antiquing and nostalgia. Love this shop! My friend worked there for a short while last year as one of Fallons Vendors. Her job was using a…read moreheat gun to remove Goodwill price tags, then add a new price tag at 5x the price! When Vendors brought in Inventory, she would put it out when she felt like it, sometimes holding inventory for 2-3 weeks, while her stuff was priced and put out. When the Vendors complain, or questioned her, she kicked them out. She says they are lucky just to be there. And getting paid, was such a goose chase. Checks late every month, not on the 15th like promised, but often 5 weeks late. My friend was young, and loved to work with the older clientele. And when they bought furniture, all the owner did was complain about 'old people' asking for help to carry items! My friend watched this for a bit, then finally left before Christmas (their biggest selling season) last year. She said the humiliation of how she was treated working in that store was not worth the sales, and that it was not a good place for Vendors who are treated like second class citizens. I told her to write a review as she was so poorly treated and share the whole experience, but she didn't want to realize Fallon's wrath. So she has moved from Prescott, but still talks about the horrible experience, so now, I'm writing it for her!

On this occasion, the lady at the counter accused our son of breaking an item and went on a rant about it. Now accidents happen, I can't say for sure that her claim was true as I didn't see it occur. As parents, we would have gladly paid for the item, but instead she removed it from the storefront and went after our son and his father. Unacceptable on all levels!!! There is always a calm resolve to situations like these, she did not remain composed or in check. How disappointing for such a quaint town, for our visit to be overshadowed by a basement-dwelling troll with absolutely no customer appreciation at all. The Grinch stole Christmas and resides here in Jerome. Shame on this business owner, you really should consider turning this store into an online store, a museum or even bettet yet, do this community a favour and close your doors! Give way to a welcoming business inviting to those who take the time to drive up here. Don't ever shop here, it is not worth the steps down from street level. We all could not stop talking about how fun & amazing it was and we can't wait to come back to do a "Sit and Play" session. Both Barbaras in the store are so friendly and Barbara Trombley is an excellent teacher of her craft - so knowledgeable, helpful and very patient! One of the best Girls' day out that I have had. Highly recommend getting your girlfriends together & taking the Glitter 101.... Mothers / daughters, families, even the guys! I thought we were just going to make one glitter card, but Barbara taught us a bunch of things and showed us how we could apply what we learned on other media. Who knew there was SO MUCH more than the 'glitter on Elmer's glue' from back in elementary school days!??! Thank you, Art Glitter!!
