The gentleman at the front desk was polite, and knowledgeable on every single visit. His customer service was TOP TIER! We just got back into the area and retrieved our belongs and they were all in perfect condition- giving us complete piece of mind! My favorite part about all of this was when we canceled there was no gimmick and they don't even charge you an additional month! Nowadays places are quick to try to get a money out of you for their business, I love that this place just handled business so honestly and straightforwardly. I had a terrible experience with public storage and would strongly recommend not using it…read more We had issues with theft and with rat infestation. I rented a unit over the summer while I was out of state, and a few months in I received a call that my lock was loose. I called them back and was told that they had replaced my lock with one of theirs and that when I got to the unit I should ask for the padlock combination to open it. When I got back a few weeks later, I went to pick my things up and received a padlock code at the front desk, but then when I went to my unit there was no lock on it at all, and over 2,000 dollars of items had been stolen. I filed a claim with the orange door insurance company that they recommend you get (definitely do not use them) and they denied my claim, because in their contract they specifically say that they don't cover a claim if your lock wasn't on the door when items were stolen. Since then I've been going back and forth with insurance without any luck so far. Unfortunately, that's not all. Along with things being stolen, around 1,000 dollars of items were ruined with rat droppings. This location was infested with rats (we saw items from other units left on the side of the road, also covered in rat droppings, so it wasn't just my unit). This was also filed in the insurance claim and has also so far been ignored. So definitely, definitely do not use public storage.
