Housed in a former flower shop, Pressed Juices gives Melbourne's CBD a bit of a healthy glow. You can sample whatever you like, which is nice if you're not familiar with their offerings. I bought two juices, coconut water (twice) and a smoothie over the course of my three day stay in the city. I'd drink every single one of them again happily. Often, juice shops don't also do smoothies. Thankfully that's not the case at Pressed. As I type, I'm sipping a Smooth Energy ($9.50AUD) filled with avocado, banana, coconut water, kale, cucumber, lime, mesclun and pineapple. It tastes super fresh, almost like it was just blended. Coconut water varies a ton in quality. The coconut water at Pressed ($7.50AUD) is ridiculously good. It's super coconutty and radically refreshing; I had to go back for a second before catching my flight out! I'm a gigantic fan of fresh-pressed grapefruit juice so I couldn't pass up theirs which is paired with mint ($8.50AUD). This juice is bright and tart, just as you'd hope. Pressed also has plenty of green juices on offer. I grabbed the Greens 4 ($9.00AUD) which incorporates celery, cucumber, kale, lettuce, parsley, spinach and lemon. Since this juice has no fruit it's definitely very green tasting. I like the addition of lemon which seems to make the flavor a bit more palatable. Pressed Juices aren't cheap but I can attest to their high quality and extensive selection. And I love that they're open at the weekend when most other businesses in the area are closed! read more

I am a little bit in love with this place & my wallet hates me for that. Wow so many juices to pick from, so many flavours, so much choice just so much everything! I am not someone who eats anywhere near the required amount of fruit & veggies so getting some of these bad boys in my system was fantastic! They have taste testing so you can try before you buy & the staff were so helpful & friendly. I am looking into doing one of their juice detoxification soon when the wallet allows me. You can expect to pay anywhere from $8.50 to $10 for a juice which yes is a lot but for cold pressed juice you expect this. While we were in Melbourne this place caught our eye because it had almost the same name as Pressed Juicery back at home in the US and ended up coming here twice. The first time we stopped by was on a Friday afternoon. It's a small store and have limited seating. The employees that work there are super attentive and will let you try anything if they have it! We also had lovely conversations with them both times we stopped there. And Pressed Juices pretty much serve the main diet of a Californian - avocado toast (aka avocado smash), acai/smoothie bowls, fresh juice, and to-go salads (just to name a few). The juices are made daily and packaged nicely. After a few samples, we got the passion fruit probiotic and the mango citrus one. The passion fruit drink has actually passion fruit seeds in it and a nice yogurty taste which is nice. And the mango citrus one was very refreshing!! The second time we came by was on a Sunday and the streets were pretty much empty. We were taking a flight that night so we opted for a green juice and beet juice. I think on Sundays it's a bit more limited in selection due to the lack of people around. Note that the juices are close to $10 each, so on the pricey side, but it's probably because they make them every day! This place will make you healthy! I have juiced veges on and off over the years and its always quite a bit of work with preparing all the ingredients and the clean up afterwards all for a glass of super healthy juice - And then I find someone else is now doing it for me. Superb! The second day this place opened I was in there and purchased a bulk card of 8 juices which drops the price by about a dollar / juice. When you plan to have at least one per day, this is worth the price. Now you might be wondering what the difference is between this chain and the other juice places such as Boost. How about no blenders, no ice to water down the juice and a spectacular range of vege jucies rather than having to hunt through the menu for something without lots of fruit (think sugar) in. All the green juices are especially good for your health but if you want a bit more variety try the Almond Mylk variations. I found that a cure for a Christmas function hangover is a green juice to cleanse the liver and kidneys and then an Almond Mylk with Espresso to keep you awake for the rest of the day. So glad I did. The staff are friendly and happy for you to try portions of the juices you're contemplating. They'll also make recommendations based on what you're hoping to achieve. After a liver cleanse? Some vitality? Maybe you're just thirsty? They'll sort you out. Yes, they're expensive. Feeling not so fresh after a long day the day before, I laced my sneakers and set out for a brisk morning walk through Melbourne's CBD with one goal in mind: Pressed Juices. At the Parliament end of Collins Street, I strolled into their hole-in-the-wall nook where I was greeted by a lovely young lady ready to ply me with samples if I "wanted to taste the combinations before I buy" and assurances they're pressed fresh each morning. Only having the room in my small hotel bar fridge, and 1.5 days left in Melbourne, I opted for a Greens 2 (apple, celery, cucumber, ginger, kale, lemon, lettuce, parsley, spinach), a Zing 3 (pineapple ginger mint pear) and a espresso almond milk (almonds, dates, filtered water, sea salt, vanilla bean, espresso). The Zing 3 was the perfect kickstart to sip on my walk back to my hotel and the espresso almond milk made for a surprisingly filling breakfast drink the next day. They are on the pricey side ($8-9 per bottle) but for the quality and boost I get, it's worth it. Knowing they deliver to Brisbane is dangerous information.... read more

If I am having a bad day, an almond mylk cheers me right up. I love this place - it has a range of delicious juices to choose from that are nourishing and refreshing. Whether you want a liquid breakfast or lunch, pop your head in and have a chat with the staff as they're always willing to help whether you want to detox or a pick-me-up. I have tried a number of the juices on offer and have an done a one day detox. But I can't go past the almond mylk on offer. It's my non-alcoholic and no-caffeinated liquid happy place. I mean choice beyond your wildest dreams and all the flavours are so unique. There are some that you look at and go really they have put those fruits and vegetables together?! But you have your first sip and you're are instantly hooked! Its easy to go in and get carried away with the abundance of choice and a will to explore you will most definitely leave with a bundle of joy. Guys this place is not a good company to spend your money. They really don't care about you as a customer. Their customer service is horrible from my experience of trying to buy their juices online. They blocked my on Instagram so no one could see my comments. They are a "made in china" of pressed juicery (the American brand). There were four of us who decided to do the energise boost cleanse. Although, the juices were delicious, the service has been terrible to deal with. We were wanting to contact this company to inform them they had provided us with the wrong juice. We were supposed to get the Chocolate Almond Mylk as our 7th drink for 2 of the nights. However, gave us another drink that was not part of the order. We have tried to contact the company via numerous phone calls and emails and there has been zero response. Taste was fine but approx. 8 hours later I was woken stomach cramps and diarrhea. Unfortunately I realised a little too late the warning on the back that states these juices are unpasteurized and 'may be unsuitable for pregnant women, young children, the elderly and immuno-compromised'.
