How can an ice-cream shop that only sells vanilla ice cream stay in business? It's that freaking good, and they have been doing it for over 60 years. It was something never imagined before. Imagine a hearty meal, but on a bagel. The cream cheese with chives was true to name. Also fresh and smoothly delicious. We bagged 2 bagels for next day's breakfast. The owner is friendly and loved sharing the story behind his bakery. We talked for so long that I had to get another coffee even though it was well past their closing time. The bagels are all made at the shop from fresh ingredients. It's a real bakery. They even have some cakes and desserts, if you so desire. The seating inside is cozy. The coffee good and strong. It is now one of my favorite stops in Leiden.
