My grandpas new home, away from home. He was moved over here about five months ago in the memory care portion. It is smaller compared to the actual assisted living area, but there seems to be less patients in that part of the facility. Every nurse and cna I encountered while visiting my grandpa was friendly, extremely helpful and had a positive attitude when we asked about him. He has short term memory loss (possible onset dementia) so he doesn't remember what he did throughout the day (or any day before then). But.. I'm happy he's in a place that takes care of him and lets his family know what's going on when we ask for updates and I was able to see this first hand and view the area he's staying in. I will say the inside is a bit out dated, could use a re-vamp esp the rooms. His bathroom had a leaky faucet and the toilet wouldn't stop running. Also the door to get into his room sticks, which makes it hard to open and close. And to get into the memory care side you need to ring the doorbell to be let in. Also plenty of parking up front for visitation of loved ones. read more
I have a family member who has been living at this retirement home for about 6 years now. While there have been some ups and downs over the years, we are still very impressed with it. It is basically a cruise ship in a building. They have had to scale back some of the social activities post-COVID, but that is to be expected. The activities director, Kelsey, is amazing. She has been there the entire time and does some super fun activities with the residents. We were able to help out and join in the fun a few times. They have had quite a bit of turnover with staff in the last few years. Some of the new med techs and support staff are learning their positions, but they still do a nice job. They have different levels of care they provide their residents that determine how much the monthly "rent" is. The less assistance you need, the lower the cost. They also have a secure memory care unit for those with advanced memory issues. Overall, we are glad that our family member is there receiving the care they need while being able to feel a sense of independence at this point in their life. read more
This place is really amazing. They completely handled everything. The staff is outstanding and the place has a really positive clean and very homey. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a relative looking an assisted living. I did not ended up with having one stay there because their conditioned worsened. read more

Wow! Is all I can start with. I thought I was convinced that senior homes/elderly care/ memory care existed only because of money hungry business owners. We have been to 5 facilities in the past 3 years and I can tell you from experience that most people working in geriatrics NOT because they love working with elderly. But... Prestige at Mira loma has showed us otherwise. Of course we as a family were worried about our precious grandparents staying at another facility where they were abused weather on purpose or not. That story we can save for another time. Anywho, lets first off start by saying that seeing my 91 year old grandmother's face and how it lit it by the attention she receives here speaks VOLUMES! She usually loves to just sleep most of the day because she is bored! But not here! She is bright eyed and brushy tailed! This place is so perfect for her! Upon visiting her (in the memory care unit) of course there were different severities of mental illness (it is memory care) but for the most part, this place felt like home. The environment is so welcoming! I can feel and I notice that the workers enjoy being there! And that is how you know if they will treat your loved ones with the utmost respect. I visited my gpa and gma (they both are staying there) on multiple occasions, unannounced and I came in for a pleasant surprise. Grandpa ( who usually keeps to himself and serious) was wearing an apron and volunteered to dye eggs for Easter! It was the best thing. He looked super excited too the staff really treats your loved ones like family and that's what I love about them. And they have fun while they work! I came in on another occasion and prestige hired a conga (drum) musician to play and sing with the residents! It was the best thing. The residents (including my gma and gpa) not only was singing and dancing along but also got to try the conga drum! ( talk about a fun way to get the blood moving for the elderly!) it really was amazing! I feel like now that they have been there, my grandparents have something to look forward to in life, ways to have fun and build relationships with the staff! It means so much because when they are home they are bored and miserable! I just love this place so much and I highly recommend the memory care "expressions" at prestige Mira loma :) read more

My dad has lived here over two years. Every time I came to visit, called to check on him or took him out for the day, the staff has always treated him and our family with EXCEPTIONAL professionalism, care and kindness. They are friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and compassionate in the most sincere way. The facility is beautiful, updated, and always clean. It has a homey, "community" feel to it and the staff always had time to smile and chat. I've spoken to many of the residents and I've never heard a disparaging word or complaint. They all seem very content and happy to live here. At the time of his passing, I was blown away by all of the staff and other resident's heartfelt concern for him and our family. They had so many stories and memories to share about their time with "Papacito" that it made this very difficult time bearable and even peaceful knowing that all the times I couldn't be with him, he had a family here. I am forever grateful for that. Without a doubt, Merci, and so many more have been an unexpected blessing in so many ways. read more

BEWARE!!!!! HORRIFYING- DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!!!!!!!! THEY WILL KILL THEM!!!!!! My grandmother was neglected, had a giant bed sore on her tailbone, had feces all over the floor in her room, INCHES of dust on everything. AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF was so doped up on 14 different norcos, she was comatose and could no longer move or talk!!!!! She left there in far worse condition then she went in. This place is the most expensive death trap EVER. You think for the amount of money you are paying they will be taken care of, but NO. They will charge you $3400 a month for a studio, plus $75 for "utilities" and raise the rent every year. We were in too much shock to take pictures of the condition my grandma was in at the end of her time there, but we all saw everything and got her out of there to a much better place. A place where they actually care about their people and don't let them live in squalor, overmedicated and abused. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT TAKING YOUR MONEY. read more

I will never be able to thank the Prestige at Mira Loma staff enough for their kindness, attentiveness and compassion. They saw to every detail to make sure my mother was comfortable and cared for. They went above and beyond in every way and I will be forever grateful to them. Additionally, the facility itself was very comfortable and clean. The other residents were happy, social and obviously content. I can't say enough good things about this place. read more

My 94 year old Mom has been living here for a few years. In the last year she has had jewelry stolen, money stolen, Kleenex stolen, Tide pods stolen, and goodies sent in by family stolen. We had placed a nanny cam and it was stolen. The thefts have all been reported to the police (money and jewelry) and the Director of the place does nothing. This has all happened during lock down so it can only be the attendants working there. read more

Prestige at Mira Loma has an excellent staff that really cares about the residents and their families. Covid-19 has really put a stress on everyone, but the staff is doing their best to make sure everyone is safe and well taken care of. We are very impressed. We highly recommend Mira Loma if your loved one needs more care than you can provide. read more

My mother stayed with Prestige for about 30 days before losing her battle with cancer. We were limited in options as she was too young for most places in Henderson. It's hard when you're 60 years old to lose so much independence but I really couldn't have asked for more than Prestige provided. It was such a difficult time for the family, having the ability to know she had meals prepared and someone also a quick call away lifted a huge burden and let us have more quality time with her instead of arguing about silly things or worrying about laundry, etc. The people that work here truly care, you can't fake that. One of the hardest decisions I've had to make is moving my mom to assisted living and if you're going through it - feel free to message me. I've been everywhere. Good luck. read more

I am a physical therapist and prior to my current position, I used to work in home health. During my stint with home health, I had many patients at this facility. The facility is very clean and beautifully decorated with lots of open space. They have an extensive activity program and have nice exercise and game rooms. Even with all of this, the th that I was most impressed with was the care and professionalism of the staff. The staff here was truly caring and attentive. As a health care professional, I notice many things on facilities like this that others might miss, and I must say that Prestige is a fantastic place if you are considering assisted living for yourself or a family member. read more

My sister and I toured more than 10 assisted living/memory care facilities here in Henderson/Las Vegas. Many of them indicated she would not qualify for a stay within Assisted Living and would be required to be in a memory care/locked down unit due to her dementia; Presige at Mira Loma was the exception. And, based on our description of our mother/her capabilities, the Executive Director of Prestige even indicated we would be "turned off" by their memory care ward and decided not to show us that part of their facility. In fact, the Head Nurse came out to our mother's home and evaluated her for a "level of care" assessment at an ASSISTED LIVING - LEVEL 2. The Executive Director, Head Nurse, and Sales Director all insisted that should we be able to stay in their assisted living facility; we moved her in on 9/7/18. Only 5 weeks later, THEY moved her into their memory care ward (claiming a State audit - which I believe gave them a "D" rating), had charged us $600 more per month for both September and October (vs the Head Nurse's level of care assessment), and gave us no time to find a more suitable memory care facility before moving her. When we finally saw the memory care unit at Prestige @ Mira Loma, we could tell why the Executive Director did not want us to see it...it was dirty, smelled of urine, and nearly all individuals were at end-stage of the disease. Every day we visited (while looking for a better facility), there were no caregivers in sight and all the residents were just sitting and staring into space. We moved her 2 weeks later. She was in their facility only 7 weeks TOTAL and they REFUSE to give us back our $1500 move-in deposit (which was paid to move her into Assisted Living NOT memory care)...not to mention the extra "care charges". And, despite my calls nearly every other day, no one is speaking with me regarding this matter. Although the caregivers were sweet, Management associated with this facility takes financial advantage of the elderly and individuals on a fixed social security income. It's ridiculous to pay a move-in fee for a "specific apartment", have someone else decide to make you move (only 5 weeks later), and then refuse to give back the money. read more

As an employee of prestige I would like to say that it is an amazing place to work. This type of setting is not for everyone it takes a certain type of person who is very compassionate and caring to work at prestige. And I can honestly say our staff is just that. They care and they go the extra mile to make sure every resident is happy and well cared for. I am very proud to say that I work for Prestige at Mira Loma. read more

This place is a total scam. I looked into many places for my mom and while this place appeared to be a good fit, it turned out that the sales woman told me what I wanted to hear, the nurse that evaluated my mom at a specific level ended up charging me an additional fee for a higher level without even notifying me, and the executive director misled me on the services my mom would need. I will say that for the short time my mom was there, the CNA's were caring and loving, but the upper level management forced us to find an alternative place for my mom. After only 6 weeks of being there, they are refusing to give my mom back her move in fee. I have tried calling Katie (corporate office) many times, but she is not returning my calls. My mom is on a fixed income and the $1,500 move in fee needed to now be paid at another location. I was planning on having my mom at Prestige for many years, but after they forced her out after only 6 weeks and then refusing to give her the move in fee back...I found it necessary to post this to alert future move ins to the unethical practices happening at Prestige. My 86 year old father was a force in nature, riding his ten-speed, working out and playing pool. Then he became ill, on multiple occasions, and could no longer live on his own. When I took my tour and saw the residents with their pets and the pool table, I knew this was the place. Dad has made an amazing transition and I'm so grateful and emotional knowing that he's happy, safe and busy. Mira Loma is warm, inviting and positive. The food is excellent and guests can eat with their loved ones. There is a monthly theme and an abundance of daily activities from movies, trips, guest entertainers and so much more. It's like a small town/village where everybody knows everybody and that suits my Dad just perfectly. Thanks! Leslie T. read more

I believe they almost killed my father with neglect. Upon admission they called a service to come with a portable chest X-ray unit. The radiologist who received the transmission told their Nurse Practitioner that it was negative for TB but showed early pneumonia. The Nurse told them, but nobody told me or his doctor, as required by law. Meanwhile they admitted him to their ALF and when we came back a week later, he had been transferred to their Memory Care Unit --with full pneumonia. Their "caregivers" back there pulled me aside to inform me that their Nurse Practitioner was going to prescribe hypnotics for day and tranquilizers for night. That's when I noticed all of the people back there were in a catatonic state, some crammed so close together on the sofa staring towards (but not at) the TV that you couldn't fit a book between them. The med-techs were men with expensive jewelry and tattoos who had fancy shoes underneath over clothes --wouldn't surprise me if they were stealing and selling drugs to pay for that. I stalled them off but before I could figure out where to move my father, I found him covered in blood under his shirt during an unannounced visit at 2:30pm. I ran for help and they brought a bunch of people in who acted surprised and he told some unbelievable story while staring at the floor about having hurt himself on a table. It took three weeks (and thousands of dollars) to get him out and over that time, he repeated to me the real story of what happened --involving tripping over the shower rail and a caregiver being too shy to help him --letting him dress, go to breakfast and lunch, leaving him in his room the rest of the time, all while bleeding into his shirt under his sweater. His neurologists are mandatory reporters, but they were in California where we've been since. I saw that the ED who approved all of that is now running some other senior "living" scam for another company. Meanwhile, my father was re-assessed and placed back into an ALF (not Memory Care) at multiple facilities since. I'd like to be able to bring him back to Nevada as it would be easier for me, but I read in the paper that all of the places in Nevada have had serious citations against them from Nevada's regulators and I also know from speaking with other properties that the same Nurse Practitioner is also writing those prescriptions all over the Valley. read more

If I could give this place Zero stars I would. They hire personnel with NO health care experience to run the Expressions (Memory Care) Unit. My mother was a resident there (she had Alzheimers/dementia) until she passed away. I didn't write a review prior as I feared that the care she received would be even worse. Imagine visiting your Mother and finding her with food/dirt caked on her hands so thick that you had to scrub her hands before you could hold her hand to help her stand up. Or how about taking her to get her hair done and her scalp had the worse case of "cradle cap" that the stylist had ever seen. Her dr even advised the personnel at Prestige that they needed to do a better job washing her hair, use special shampoo and watch her while showering to make sure she washed the shampoo out if her hair. The worst experience was when my mother fell and they sent her in an ambulance to the hospital with no paperwork or personnel fromPrestige with her. She didn't even know who she was at this point!!! By the time I got to the hospital the people there are trying to ask her questions and don't know why she can't answer them. To cap off this awful experience when my mother's death was imminent I sent an email with explicit instructions as to what they were to do when she passed. I was assured "your directives will be followed". Needless to say THEY WERE NOT!!!!!!! I called to check on my mother at 8:30 in the morning to see how she was doing that day and was told what they did for her the night prior. When I questioned them again I was told "Oh she died at 3:00 this morning didn't anyone call you?" When I got ahold of the facility director all I got from her was"I guess we messed up." Real compassion there. Maybe they spend all there time making the place look nice and playing games but they sure missed the boat when it came to taking care of my mother. If you are going to have to put a loved one here you might want to think again. For $4,500 per month you think you would be able to get better care. If we could have taken care of my mother in our own home I would have. If we had unlimited resources I would have moved her to another place. read more

History
Established in 1985.
Great things often start from small beginnings. Prestige Care and Prestige Senior Living are no exception. Founded in 1985, our origins begin with the legacy of Sarah Delamarter, a pioneer in Oregon's long-term care industry. Sarah first began using her nursing skills to care for seniors in her home back in 1946 as a means to support her family. As Sarah's reputation spread for her compassion and care, the demands for her services grew very quickly. Soon she was able to purchase a large house in Wood Village, Oregon and converted it into her first senior care community. Prestige grew quickly in those early years and began seeking out ways to improve care, setting the stage for innovation. More important though, Prestige began to develop a core value system of respect, integrity, commitment and trust that serves as the bedrock of every Prestige Care and Prestige Senior Living community. Sarah's legacy lives on through Prestige Care and Prestige Senior Living.

Limited options for assisted living under age 62 but this place is top notch regardless. Has more of a hotel feel (or as much as possible) - large facility, residents are friendly and usually sociable. Good location right in the middle of Green Valley. Would highly recommend it. read more
