If your not shocked in the prices on offer .. i want to know where you buy your parts haha!! It's normally 2 older guys thatcare available at the service counter. Always super helpful and very knowledgeable in any of the questions you have :). Also the place is definitely a really good size so chances are they have what your looking for and of course things you aren't looking for :)!! This is definitely my go to place for anything automotive or even just advice aswell. Can not recommend this place enough :)

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WITH A MECHANIC! Absolute con men! Was meant to call me with info abt what…read morework needed to be done, receive a call to say a part that needed replacing would be $145 and that they would get back to me about the labour costs. Receive another call at lunch to ask where I worked and a promise to call me back, then no phone call all afternoon. Half an hour before they close I called them to check up on my car and they ask if they can keep it overnight!! I say no I need to use it to get home and they say ok come in the next half an hour. Go in to pick it up and get the speel that my car has a whole host of "issues" that they have been "working on for hours" that they have taken the liberty to fix and also filled the tank full of fuel, even though the car was dropped off with a 1/4 tank, so on top of "hours" worth of labour to fix the myriad of apparent issues I now owe them $76 worth of fuel as well! All done without my knowledge. After disputing the work and the fact they never called me or asked me if I could or wanted to go ahead with work, I am told I shouldn't drive a car without expecting it to be expensive to fix and also that they assumed I'd be good for the cash!! So unprofessional!! I ended up being forced to pay the only money I could afford $260 for what I suspect was less than half of that to fix. Awful and threatening experience. In hindsight I should have not paid a dollar for anything except the part I had been quoted ($145). But was threatened and manipulated into paying more!! Awful awful place. No idea how they have good ratings online, this is unfortunately why I picked them based off their online profile!! Epic fail!

Then arriving to my drive in concierge, greeted at the reception by a smile, and offer for coffee and/transport. I said I was just going to run -- "I can do that in a take away cup if you like sir", hmm.. Do you have soy? "We don't but if you are ok to wait a minute I can go downstairs to the cafe and bring you up one" :) cool. Full iPad check in, and service details emailed to my account. I ended up staying for a bit as their was a free shuttle to Surry hills and wifi as well for me to write this review. Sam also showed me how they have the latest tech. So.. They just came over to me to tell me the shuttle is 5 mins away, and offered me a muffin on yoghurt. I am going to start hiring some of these people :)

Yep tyres, brakes, fuel injection, transmission, oil change service and pink slips are things that avati has helped me with over the years, even though I moved from campsie to hurstville I will keep coming back to avati as I have been burnt and leant my lesson the hard way.

Due to flying debris from a tip truck on the M4 (story for another day regarding uncovered loads) -…read moreI found myself with a 15cm crack in my windscreen right in my line of sight which was more annoying than anything. So through my insurance company, they approved the replacement and within half a day of making the claim, I had O'Briens call me and we were booked in for Saturday morning. Come Saturday, I turned up 5 minutes before my scheduled time and they were ready for me. A few quick signatures and I was advised it would be around 2 hours and that they would call me when the new screen went on which would dictate how long I would have to wait as the glue requires 1 hour to set. The first thing I noticed about the workshop was how clean and organised it was. For those in production and engineering - this place is a great example of 5S lean manufacturing. Everything had a place, everything was clearly labelled and the house keeping was of a great standard. I also noticed the disciplines around PPE and following dedicated walkways etc I then went and found breakfast and wandered around the immediate vicinity of Alexandria/Waterloo. I got a phone call around 40 minutes after dropping the car off saying I would be right to drive away exactly 1 hour from then. As my time approached, I returned to the workshop and as I was still early I found myself reading the available daily newspapers and the customer service girl came out and offered to make me a coffee while I waited. Right on my allocated time, said customer person returned and pleasantly went through the work done and warranty conditions and handed back my keys and off I went. Nobody likes having to replace a windscreen but this O'Briens experience made it that much easier to live through. Great customer service!
