So through my insurance company, they approved the replacement and within half a day of making the claim, I had O'Briens call me and we were booked in for Saturday morning. Come Saturday, I turned up 5 minutes before my scheduled time and they were ready for me. A few quick signatures and I was advised it would be around 2 hours and that they would call me when the new screen went on which would dictate how long I would have to wait as the glue requires 1 hour to set. The first thing I noticed about the workshop was how clean and organised it was. For those in production and engineering - this place is a great example of 5S lean manufacturing. Everything had a place, everything was clearly labelled and the house keeping was of a great standard. I also noticed the disciplines around PPE and following dedicated walkways etc I then went and found breakfast and wandered around the immediate vicinity of Alexandria/Waterloo. I got a phone call around 40 minutes after dropping the car off saying I would be right to drive away exactly 1 hour from then. As my time approached, I returned to the workshop and as I was still early I found myself reading the available daily newspapers and the customer service girl came out and offered to make me a coffee while I waited. Right on my allocated time, said customer person returned and pleasantly went through the work done and warranty conditions and handed back my keys and off I went. Nobody likes having to replace a windscreen but this O'Briens experience made it that much easier to live through. Great customer service!
