The Framing Workshop came up trumps on all these, even though I was actually after mirrors and not art! This is a business that the proprietor sinks his heart into. It's also in a fab location - in amongst the re-purposed Georges Heights Harbour Trust development, with the added advantage of parking right outside the door, so when you collect up your prized framed pieces, its a cinch to get them into the car.

I have used Framing Workshop for all of my framing needs since that time. I am delighted to report that, in my experience, Richard's work is of excellent quality. As an added bonus, he is pleasant, prompt and diligent. He also has a keen eye for aesthetics, but is far too polite to judge the customer's taste. He will also recommend less extravagant/expensive options for the customer's consideration. The location of the shop is such that it is always a pleasant diversion to go there. We went in with a number of items and whilst I had ideas, really needed some direction. Toohey was terrific. He seemed to just get it and immediately picked the perfect frame and mount for each of the items I had. A number were antique maps so I didn't want them glued down like so many of the other insist need doing. Instead he did proper hinges. We picked up this weekend and were delighted. They look so so good and the quality is top notch. The flag that was being framed and float mounted, you can't see how it is attached to the board which is ideal. The others are mounted in ways that just make the maps and detail pop. The icing on the cake was the bill. They may not be the cheapest, and compete with those that frame through factories off-site, but you get the quality of a true craftsman at very reasonable prices. I cannot praise this experience highly enough and I will be back in a few weeks to get some of my previous disasters re-framed! Thank you

Their art & craft supplies definitely come in handy for journalling/school work/work in general, and their stuff is much cheaper to get than the stationary/art supplies that can be found in Kmart. They have other things as well that aren't related to stationary/art. They also have imported Japanese food, homeware etc. You will definitely find something in this store that will cater to your needs/wants.

There is something for everyone...if you have the money that is. Let's face it..original art is not cheap and if I had a few thousand to spare and wanted a striking painting on a wall I would go here. A number of paintings are in red and black..I suppose catering for the Asian clientele..but they are so beautiful I found it hard to pick which painting was my favourite. With three floors of paintings I could have spent all night there. One impressive painting was of David Beckham with his very chiselled face. Half the body was in a suit ..as he often is posing as a model and the other half is in just his underwear. My oh my...very hot painting. I will be back to see the range when I have more time.

Charles has led a fascinating life, starting out in the Ballet in Rijeka, and also writing political satires, he was thrown into prison, sentenced to 10 years. He was inexplicably released after 2 years, and went to Austria to seek Political Asylum. That was where he first studied art. His style is distinctive. Famous for his vibrant Cityscapes, his Surreals and gorgeous Figuratives, there's something for everyone. The gallery features Limited Edition Prints, Original Oil on Canvas, original drawings and mixed media. Ask one of the staff to show you the difference between all of these, we will be happy to! They do custom framing that costs not much more than any pre-fabbed frames you can buy, but much better quality, and their service is outstanding. They gave me really good advice on different qualities of glass for different settings and lighting situations. Highly recommended. I've had about 20 things framed there and have never been disappointed.

I've been to many Officeworks stores around Sydney and unfortunately have found many of the customer service staff working on the floor here being quite unhelpful, unprofessional and ignorant. They hardly come to customers even though they're doing nothing. Even if a staff is busy with something other than serving a customer, they must approach to the new customer immediately to assist by leaving all other things aside. I often struggled to get hold of someone even though the store hardly had any customers at that time. Some of them were even quite rude as they were asked for assistance. My dear Wife (and our friends) were most patient as I wandered through this relatively small and dense selection of ballpoints, rollerballs, fountain pens, and other writing tools. They were also surprised that I came back with very little to show for what is one of my favorite types of places to shop. Why? One is that I already own a number of these pens, especially Lamy. Second, very little caught my eye. And Third, I found the store person to be a little less engaged than what I find in shops founded by true believers. Price wasn't really a factor this time around, and I'd love to come in again and give it another go.

I believed Mont Blanc pens were the best and went in store to check the collection. I am still amazed at the number of brands available in store. The service is professional and the staff have good knowledge about the pens.
