At the hell on earth that is the Arndale food court, where people are queueing in long lines for KFC or McDonald's, Taco Bell is something of a little oasis. Never long lines, service is always quick and soft drinks are refillable. There are numerous chicken, beef, pork and vegetarian options. I ordered a 'Big Bell Box Meal'. This came with a taco filled with beef, salad and cheese, then a chicken burrito and the most delicious fries ever. Finally some churros with a chocolate sauce. 200% delicious!! Ask for extra sachets of Hot Sauce!!

It is in a way like Subway, but it isn't limited to just sandwiches. The portion was good and it was quite big. The price was affordable. I had "5 eggs omelette and salad" which was very generous in portion and it tastes quite good. The staffs were quite friendly on this visit. Looking forward to trying more healthy street foods from Lean & Mean.

Pizza Hut is accredited by Coeliac UK, meaning chances are you should be able to get a good gluten free meal with staff who know what they are doing, sadly this didn't seem to be the case. When I asked about the gluten free selection, the staff was a little cautious when talking to me about it, the original server who sat me down didn't seem to know anything other than the pizzas, another man did come over but he still didn't seem too knowledgeable, he just told me I couldn't have the chips and of course the pizza bases were frozen. Inside, there are some nice aspects to the decor, albeit most of the tables are quite high and there isn't a great deal of seating. In the end, due to the fact of the gluten free pizza bases being frozen, and the issue of there being no sides, I was basically just handed an allergy book and told to "get on with it", this was a shame, I didn't feel welcomed or anything of that nature which I'm sorry to report, hence I decided to eat at Dough Pizza Kitchen and had a decent meal, elsewhere in Manchester City Centre.

I am not that big a fan of plantain so it just tasted OK. Also, I thought I didn't like black beans (I like the ones you have in Chinese dishes - the fermented dried ones) but I really liked the quesadillas. Maybe it was the combination with the cheese. They just sell Mexican lager which isn't too shocking I can imagine but there's no other options in terms of beers and even Las Iguanas now sells Mexican IPA, Wheat Beers etc. Put it this way - I was wanting a beer but just decided to keep my money in my pocket and drink water. If you don't fancy a kebab I would recommend the roasted chicken leg, which is in a gorgeous herby sauce and served with rice and salad. There was a decent selection of prepared food such as sandwiches and some crisps on my visit. I'm struggling to comment any further but mainly down to the nature of the store, the poor unwelcoming nature and unwelcoming rude staff, I sadly feel this branch of Greggs deserves a single one star.
