The guy giving me my pedicure barely buffed my feet at all. I realized after I left that my nails were rough as well and had not been filed well. I paid extra for Diamond Dry which is supposed to last longer than regular polish but my polish was chipping within 3 days and I was not doing anything crazy to cause it.

Most salons where I've had it done seem to rush through the process and leave my nails in a bad state. I left Nail Pro feeling like my nails were decently healthy after a gel removal. IMPORTANT NOTE: -Nail Pro DOES NOT accent credit cards! Cash or check only. There's a nearby ATM though. PROS: -My gel nail polish removal was really well-done with attention to detail and caring for my nails. The gel polish was fully removed, and when there was a small sparkle left, the salonist attempted to remove it before saying he was going to leave it there for fear of damaging my nail. My nails left the salon looking pretty darn awesome compared to every gel-polish removal I've done before. -Nail Pro was able to fit us in last-minute. We were a walk-in appointment, and they had no problem fitting us in. -This nail salon is also located near a grocery store and lots of other restaurants. It makes it nicely located to quickly stop in and get your nails done if that's what you want to do. CONS: -It's a very small nail salon. It seems like there are a limited number of employees here. There are two waiting chairs and just a few manicure and few pedicure stations. I'm not sure they have a bathroom here. -Nail polish colors are relatively limited compared to much larger salons. This isn't the end of the world (since the nail polish colors of large nail salons are way too many), but if you're looking for a very, very specific color, they might not have it. It seems like they have more-than-enough colors to choose from though. -For some odd reason, when we attempted to call the nail salon beforehand, no one answered the phone. When we came in, they were happy to take an appointment, though.

I subsequently took a break from getting my nails done and made my appointment for today in the morning, which the salon adjusted to early afternoon. No problem, however, when I showed up for my appointment, I was told they made a "mistake" and could I wait or come back in 40 minutes? I reminded the technician that I had given up my appointment in the past for them, which didn't seem to matter since they were overbooked and I unfortunately could not adjust to a later appointment due to another obligation. They do a great job, however, you'll want to have an abundance of time in order to not be disappointed.

However, I regret not doing a thorough check beforehand because I ended up with bleeding fingers and crooked nails. I'm not sure if it's the cheap or old nail polish or the faulty LED lamp. They had to buff my entire nails to redo the polish because it was bubbling out, which resulted in scratches. I had to ask him to stop buffing it because it was already bleeding, but he didn't seem to understand. He continued buffing for at least 30 more seconds before telling me to wash my hands. I pointed out that three of my nails were bleeding because of the excessive buffing, he looked like he was annoyed when i said that and with an attitude, he said he would give me $5 off. It's not the discount that I'm looking for; I want to see sincerity and an apology. If you're looking for a relaxing experience, please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I went to another spot and the gel manicure had some bubbles in it and had to start all over again so it was lengthy . I tried Allure a few weeks ago and got a great manicure. I used to be a manicurist when I was in college so I know what good looks like. Nice coat to the manicure and good care of cuticles,etc. It lasted 10 days without a chip which is amazing for a regular manicure, especially with the beach and pool. Today I went back for a mani/pedi with another technician and she did a great job also. My feet were scrubbed, pumiced and cut the cuticles as well as buffing my nails before applying nail polish. Excellent job and I will now have my regular spot to go to when I am here.
