My last few experiences have just been blah with the last visit on 9/21 as my last. While getting a pedicure by Steve, I noticed that V was in the shop(was in back) when I mentioned that I didn't realize she was there the nail tech says, yes she's here... gives here schedule and ask you want her to do you nails? If so I don't care! Go ask her. I mentioned to him that I wasn't sure and was on a tight schedule and he mistook what I was saying and some how thought I said she was crying. I chalked it up as a language barrier and moved on. he proceeded to carry on for a good 10 minutes about why was she crying at work. And whenever I would say I never said that he would continue making these snarky comments. I had to lean into him and tell him I think you have a mistaken what I said because I never said she was crying at work. He then proceeded to say oh OK do you want me to do your nails? At this point I'm ready to go but need my nails done. He does an ok job on the shape, but a week later and my gel nails need to be redone. Paint uneven and faded in certain places. I've read reviews of the new male techs and their in professional tempers, but experienced it first hand. IM DONE! I also don't like this new policy of pressuring you to pay cash. If you don't it's a 3% charge. Moving on!

T Nail Lounge stood out to me based on several reviews. When I walked in, I was greeted by a quiet and clean environment. Mabel welcomed me and asked me to choose a color. I opted for a standard pedicure and paid an additional $25 to have my old gel nails removed and replaced with new ones. Mabel and I chatted as if we had known each other forever, and I truly enjoyed my time with her. She was sweet and kind and even offered some recommendations for great places in the area where I could spend time while waiting for my son to finish camp. I will definitely return to T Nail Lounge whenever I'm in the Catonsville area.

I went in the morning of my prom to address my displeasure, and I had to pay an additional $40 + tip to get them fixed on top of the $90 + tip I spent the day prior for amateur work. The nails that they "fixed" started peeling after having them for less than a week! Save your time and money, and please avoid this salon! I felt like I was just a number. I'm not even sure why it's called "Herbal Nails." I didn't notice anything "herbal" that they used. Here is the process I experienced there: nails clipped, nails filed, nails soaked (without cuticle cream), cuticles cut, nails polished, nails & hands oiled, 30-second hand massage, hands washed, you pay and leave. I struggled with growing my nails out and they broke easily. Since going to Stories and seeing Cinthya my nails have been so much healthier and I've been able to grow my natural nails out. We've been doing builder gel and IBX nail repair every other appointment. I have definitely seen a marked difference. I've also been able to experience their waterless pedicure. Possibly the best pedicure I've ever had. I highly recommend Stories. The establish is clean, organized and has a calming aesthetic. The staff and owner are kind, wonderful people.

I paid approximately $70 for a builder gel overlay manicure. Within just two days, one nail broke. I returned to the salon and they repaired it, explaining that it may have happened because my nails were short. Unfortunately, the problem didn't stop there. By day 12, several nails were lifting and flaking off. In my experience, a builder gel overlay should last significantly longer than that, especially at this price point. I returned to the salon before the two-week mark. Because they were busy, I told them I was fine with receiving a regular gel manicure instead of having the builder gel completely redone. I fully expected to pay something for the service, but I was surprised when I was charged full price despite the original builder gel overlay failing in less than two weeks. I didn't want to make a scene or put staff in an uncomfortable position, so I paid and tipped as usual. However, after I got home, I submitted a message through the salon's online contact form. I explained my disappointment, acknowledged that I had otherwise been happy with the salon, and stated that I wanted to continue as a customer. I simply felt that charging full price after a premium service failed so quickly was not a fair resolution. The salon never responded. To me, the lack of response was the most disappointing part of the experience. Nail services can occasionally have issues, and I would have been understanding if someone had simply acknowledged my concerns and attempted to make things right. Instead, I paid for a failed builder gel service, paid again for a replacement manicure, and received no follow-up whatsoever. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Stories Salon for nail services.
