Pretty Place in North Carolina, located at Camp Greenville, is one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. This place had my heart from the very minute I walked through the door. The chapel sits on the YMCA Camp Greenville property and was built in 1941, and it is truly breathtaking. It's usually open from sunrise to sunset, but it's important to check the website ahead of time since it may be closed for weddings or special events. The view you see when you step inside is absolutely stunning. I cried the first time I visited, and even now, every visit brings tears to my eyes. The name "Pretty Place" fits it perfectly--it may truly be one of the prettiest places you'll ever see. If you're ever in the area make it a point to stop by. Admission is completely free, and you can stay as long as you'd like. Just be sure to check the online schedule before driving up to make sure there isn't an event scheduled that day. read more

Hour drive from Hendersonville, NC. Worth the drive. We were a corvette and able to go. Some of the road is rough and skinny but definitely worth the drive. Plan to go early and just sit and enjoy the view. Porta potties, so FYI. No entrance fee but donations encourage $5 per car or what ever you feel comfortable with. STUNNING VIEWS!! read more
