Very stylish coffee shop in downtown Hasselt with covered ceiling and lots of classy accents…read more Perfect place to have a coffee and some chocolate with my colleague before an intense next-day workshop. A space like this is perfect to dialogue over coffee. Mostly couples or small groups of girlfriends is what I saw. No kids screaming and no laptops of people attached to phones. Just customers talking and enjoying either coffee or some small dishes (we went at a 'coffee hour' i would say, so I cannot comment on food). We sat at the terrace, very pleasant and my only 'how come' would be when asked for cash instead of credit card. Since I go cashless I am glad my colleague was semi loaded with some euros (maybe they ask for cash as we only had coffee?). In any case, really nice place to spend an afternoon of Sunday.

I've had a lot of burgers lately and I wasn't impressed by this place…read more. To start off, the meal wasn't warm enough and the potato wedges served along side the burgers were fluffy and not crispy like they are supposed to be. Mayonnaise or other dip has to be asked for, which is really weird knowing everyone in Belgium drowns their fries in it. Maybe they are trying to serve healthier food but than, you should serve a healthy alternative. Dry fluffy coldish fries are ugh. They serve a lot of strange burgers, like burgers with nuts etc. might be tasty but as a benchmark I went for "the original burger" a classic according to the menu. And the friend I was with went with the lamb burger. He afterwards informed me the lamb tasted stronger and more like sheep. They took their time and when served the meat looked more or less industrially minced. Which is bad.. An artisanal burger joint should in my opinion alway use roughly minced meat, preferably shoulder chuck. The burger wasn't spiced well.. And I was rather disappointed. Overall service besides slow, is ok and friendly. But there's much improvement to be made in my opinion, if this place wants to survive with so much competitive alternatives around.

We were greeted welcoming and were seated right away outside, inside the whole place was packed (not too big and more for intimate dinner/small group, not our group of 9!). We were all pleased with the service and food. Appetizers for the kids was tomato soup and for the grown ups mussels. The bread, butter and oil was also a nice touch. Presentation was pretty, a big plus for me (I prob will not eat a yummy dish if I don't like how it looks lol). My favorite was surprisingly the spaghetti carbonara. (Not pictured). I'm attaching photos of the rest. Anyways, quite pleased with our experience here, therefore I recommend.
