We had a fantastic half day with Primal Racing. The instructors were top notch and the driving experience far exceeded expectations.

I attended the three-day race school in July of 2022. Tyler was the lead instructor, with Justin and Kevin as race instructors. The track facilities were relatively new, well maintained, and included a nice classroom with lecture presentations on big screen monitors. We had time on a wet skid pad, autocross courses, and the racetrack. Classroom instruction began with the basics of cornering to more advanced trail braking, passing, and race start techniques. The overall program progressed from classroom instruction and skid pad work on the first day to more time on the track on the latter two days. The instructors have a variety of racing experiences and were able to explain to us how to improve our driving skills. The instructors carefully assessed our current skills, provided detailed suggestions on improving them, and provided encouragement and caution as appropriate. There was little idle time. Overall, the course was very valuable at a reasonable cost. Perhaps as important, it was lots of fun. The instructors and the other students were fun to be around. I looked forward to each day. The Primal 3-day race school was a fantastic experience overall. The instructors were outstanding, giving just the right level of constructive critique without ever getting sarcastic or condescending. I'm grateful for the way they moved the class along at a fast pace to maximize our seat time, and I'm sure the numerous tips they passed along from their collective years of racing experience will come in handy as I move on to the next step, which is to compete in Primal's race series at AMP. As a graduate of the three day Skip Barber formula course a few years ago, I can compare the two. The Primal racing school was organized and well taught by instructors who are also active racers. The classroom sessions were lively with good use of videos for illustration. The Radical SR1 school cars are fast with paddle shifting and amazing grip. The facilities--classroom, lounge and building are first class. The track is technical with a mix of fast and tight corners made more difficult with elevation changes. Track time was excellent, I would have loved more seat time in the Radical, but the weather had other ideas. Four main instructors for six students plus support staff for the cars and for meals. True southern hospitality. Instructors were patient and my wife had a great experience as well as my son. She is applying for her provisional SCCA license. This is a first class program and recommend Primal for the instruction not just the cars. Mike read more
