This is a 5 star rating for the staff, because not only have they been through hell, they've worked there and if I could personally give every one of those precious angels a raise I would because I couldn't do what they do. If you can see past the hoards of Chavvy teenage girls that completely obliterate everything in there path, you might see a staff member picking up after their McDonald's shit and cleaning up a pile of clothes they just messed up on the stand, only to decide it's not short enough to see their Fat rolls. and so put it back. When looking in Primark you have to be prepare yourself. Whilst there are bargains to be had scrapping amongst other customers & rummaging amongst the piles of clothes scattered in piles on the floor is enough to put most people off. I think the staff operate a policy of duck & cover only coming out after closing to survey the remnants of their once neatly stacked shelves. On the plus it's not a bad place to go for mens underwear & baby clothes. read more

I use primark for my own children as their at that stage where they are constantly growing so i think why spend £20 on a pair of jeans that will be grown out of in a months times or have have grass's stains on that you can't get rid of, when i can go to primark and get 3 outfits for them for £20. Socks are always a favorite too as we seem to have a sock thief in our house always taking one and leaving the other. I'm not ashamed to shop at Primark, and will continue to do so for a very long time. The only downfall is it can look like a jumble sale at some points in the day with clothes on the floor, and like in most places the popluar sizes do get snapped up quickly. Once or twice i have also noticed that the you may need the next size up as they can be very tight on sizes! read more

This Primark has recently had a refurbishment and is now HUGE!! at least 3 times the size it was previuosly. It now looks less like a jumble sale, helped out by more of the clothes hung up rather than on shelving displays that can be knocked off easily. Theres a homewares department, childrens, mens and ladies, as well as changing rooms. Clothes are cheap, and the quality isnt great, but its fine for children who grow out of clothes quickly, or this seasons must haves that you wont want to wear next year. Always a good idea to try them on also as the sizing is hit & miss. I'm a size 14 but normally have to buy size 16-18 tops and PJs, but in Jeggings size 12 are too big! It can be tricky to get round with a pushchair, and almost impossible at a weekend when it is very busy. There are now lots of tills, in 2 rows, with a designated walk way to queue up which is a vast improvement on how it used to be (queueing up around the clothes). Staff are hard to find, its like they hide away, though, after the rabbits in headlights look has died down they are very helpful. read more

Very busy shop so best to visit at quieter times, also best to visit early in the day because the clothes tend to be on the hangers and tables, rather than on the floor as they seem to be later! It isn't a shop that I would choose to visit too often. They sell ladies, mens, childrens and also have a homeware section. I find having to rummage through all the stuff and having to watch what I am tripping over a little too much, I prefer to shop where I can see what is on offer without falling over everything. They do have some very good buys though. read more

I find these stores are all pretty much the same and usually when I go there when visiting family the shelves are in disarray and the clothes are all over the place The cut and shape of the clothes are very hit and miss too if you are any bigger than a size 14. It is great if you need to clothe children as there range is pretty extensive and also if you want gifts for people the bags and shoes are quite cheap. They never seem to have enough tills open when I go either so you can end up waiting 15 minutes or so to pay for your goods. The staff are usually students or quite young not that that is a problem but they some times spend more time chatting behind the desk than serving the customer Not sure this is the same for all primarks though as that wasn't the case with the one at Basingstoke read more

I feel sorry for the staff in Primark. I work in retail myself and the idea of having to tidy a store of that size and re-fold all the clothes horrifies me. But this is the problem with Primark. As good value that some of the items can be, finding them can often feel like rummaging through clothes at a car boot. If you plan to visit here, I recommended going early in the morning before the place is torn apart by customers. The clothes themselves I often have a problem with because larger sizes sell out quickly and often don't fit - but the bags and jewellery are excellent value and are often bang on trend. read more

love Primark! Granted, the children's section is upstairs, but there's a good sized, quick and reliable lift. At weekends it can get a little frantic, with clothes being left on the floor and on the wrong pegs by people changing their minds with what they've picked up, but there's always a few members of staff doing their best to keep on top of the situation. I've always found the staff to be fine, polite and helpful if a little stressed! The range of clothes is great. The adult clothes can be a bit funny on sizes (no two size 18s are ever quite the same) but they're so cheap and provided you try them on first it's not really a problem. The kids clothes are great - bright and colourful and easy to mix and match when one of the little cherubs gets pasta sauce down the top from one outfit! Personally I think the clothes are very good quality for what you pay, and my 1 year old is still wearing clothes that were bought 2 years ago for my eldest (when i thought my first would be a boy !!!lol long story!!) I find they wash just as well, if not better than some more expensive items, and if something comes home from nursery with orange poster paint all up one sleeve it doesn't really matter! read more

Good prices although the clothes don't last long, the store is always messy and it is sometimes impossible to walk around without stepping on something that has been hauled of the shelf. Staff, aren't exactly brilliant you never see them really doing anything, but they are helpful and polite. read more

It's the only clothes shop I know where you can buy a whole new wardrobe and get change from a £10 note. If you want cheap and chearful, look no further, Primark is the shop for you. Personally I can't stand the place. Yes, I like value for money, but I'd still rather save a little more cash and get better quality. Also, their stores usually look a complete dump - especially the Telford shop. I've only ever been in it twice, but both times it looked as if the clothes had just been dumped, rather than hung on display. Having said that, if you're really on a tight budget, then there probably isn't a better alternative for cheap new clothes. read more

This shop is fantastic for new clothes and fashion at a rock bottom price. However, no money is spent on staff training, staff numbers or cleaning the store. I go there all the time, but you do have to brace yourself at busy periods! read more
