I decided to give this place another shot after they reached out and apologized which honestly went a long way. It showed they actually care about their customers and their reputation. My first experience (a Friday night pizza order) wasn't great, so I figured maybe it was just an off night. This time around, we ordered lemon pepper wings, garlic knots, and a half-and-half square pizza: pepperoni on one side and meat lovers on the other. The lemon pepper wings were the standout, really flavorful and easily my favorite part of the order. Not too greasy at all. The pizza was a big improvement too. The crust edges weren't burnt to a crisp and everything tasted fresh and well put together. That said, I wasn't a fan of the sausage on the meat lovers side, so I'd probably skip that next time. One thing I really appreciated was how accurate their pickup timing was. I showed up exactly when the order was supposed to be ready, and it actually was, no waiting around. My boyfriend and I ordered weekly for about 3 years when we lived near the Brentwood location, and when we moved to Larchmont, we were excited to keep that tradition going with the Fairfax location. Prime was our pizza spot....reliable, flavorful, and made with care!! Unfortunately, over the last year the quality and attention to detail have become horrendous. And what's frustrating is that this wasn't a one off. We loved Prime so much that we gave them chance after chance to redeem themselves. Every time, it was just as bad, if not worse. Definitely not worth the hype... this was my second time trying Prime and I have to say that I was sorely disappointed. Setting aside that I showed up to pick up my order at the time I was told to come only to find out that they hadn't made my pizza yet, and setting aside that my wings were sitting there the entire time that I waited for my pizza to me made and cooked, the pizza was undercooked, EXTREMELY oily (see picture), and overall not very good. The first time I went, I tried the BBQ chicken pizza, which I would rate a 7 out of 10, but this time we ordered a full pepperoni with meatballs added to 1/2. The first thing that I noticed when I got home and opened the box was the excessive amount of oil all over the pizza and in the box. The second thing that I noticed was there was only meatballs on 3 out of 8 slices - so 3/8th pepperoni and meatball is the same as 1/2? Umm, nope! When I grabbed a slice, I literally had oil coating my hand and fingers, which was a huge stomach turner for me. I had to get a wad of paper towels to dry the oil off the pizza, off of my hands and off my plate, by which time I was already turned off by the pizza. I was able to eat a couple of slices before giving up and turning to the wings.... Because the wings had been sitting while I waited for them to make my pizza, they were cold and dried up, which just added to the frustration. I have to say that for $73 I would expect to get my pizza the way that I ordered it, a lot less grease, and wings that should have been fresh and hot. I would put this on par with Mulberry Street Pizza, which isn't a compliment by any stretch. Needless to say, this was my second and final time ordering from Prime. I'm am truly baffled by the hype of this place - it's sub par, greasy, salty pizza that left me feeling pretty gross. Ugh. **** Follow up - I received the attached "canned" response from Prime. Nothing personal about it, and instead of sending me a direct message through Yelp, they decided to throw a pre-written response asking me to follow up with them through their website. That's the furthest thing in the world someone wants to do after having a bad experience and having already taken the time to write a detailed account of what happened. I haven't ordered a whole round pizza from Prime until last night. I've only had the square slice, which I enjoyed. . I bought 3 (cheese, pepperoni and sausage, pepperoni and jalapeno). The cheese was a plain cheese...no frills, all good; however, the other two were woefully under topped. Multiple slices only had 1 piece of pepperoni and the minimal sausage and jalapeños on the other. Spent a total $100 for basically 3 cheese pizzas with a lack of toppings. Waste of $$$ for what you get! I'm sure others are ok with what they get; at that price? No! Please try harder, Prime! read more

My wife and I are NY slice fanatics but have never been here. Heard all the hype, barstool rating, etc. Decided to try it a few weeks ago and opted for a massive Sicilian pie based soley on the pics. We were not disappointed at all. Easily the best Sicilian pie we've had in the last 10 years and it's not even close. We got a pie with half meat lovers and half pesto and ricotta. 8 big slices for $32.00. Great price considering what we got. This hit all the requirements. High quality ingredients. Excellent flavor and balance with the pesto and grandma sauce taking center stage. Seasoned so unbelievably well. But the big winner was the perfect, and I mean perfect chew on the dough. Crispy around the edges. Damn this was really good. We picked up and brought home. Did a very quick reheat on high for about 5 minutes. They were busy inside filling orders and the staff was great! My criteria for choosing a spot was limited to the following: pizza by the slice, ideally Detroit style, and somewhere quick. Prime pizza not only fulfilled but exceeded my criteria! Ordered one square of spicy pepperoni ($6) to eat on the spot. They gave me two squares and said "one square was kinda small so we threw another one in". So nice! Topped my squares with some red crushed pepper and took a huge bite. The pizza was SO GOOD. Crispy on the edges and outside, and light and fluffy on the inside. The sauce to cheese to cupping pepperoni ratio was ideal, I couldn't have asked for anything different. I used to only order the square pies, but I've been ordering their round pies lately. It's a big pizza, and I always freeze the leftovers. My favorite is the White Pizza (5 stars) because I love the cheesy combination of fontina, mozzarella, ricotta, and Parmesan with strong garlic flavor. When I was pregnant, I ordered the Veggie (4 stars) pizza to feel less guilty when I had a pizza craving. It that included kale and radicchio in addition to typical veggie toppings like mushrooms, red bell pepper, and garlic. The Arrabbiata (5 stars) is a good base to add toppings or eat as is. It's better than the Cheese pizza because I like the spicy tomato sauce and addition of red onions. I've add pepperoni to it. The Pepperoni (4 stars) and Cheese (3 stars) pizzas are both garnished basil. The Gluten Free Grandma Pie (4 stars) is also good too, and it's better in texture than other gluten free pizzas I've had. They're available in square pies with customizable options. I've tried it with vegan cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms, and onion. I like that they have half and half pizzas, and the toppings are easy to customize. The service is 4 stars. I heard Prime Pizza was rated very high in quality, so I had to give it a try! There's only a few seats inside, so be prepared to eat elsewhere if it's a busy night. While there was many coming in and out the weekend we visited, we were able to grab three spots. I ordered a slice of cheese pizza because I strongly believe it can determine how good a pizza spot is. Each slice comes out to $4 which is alright especially for LA. We waited for about 5-10 minutes for our slices to be ready. Between the regular slices and the square slices, the regular definitely and clearly takes the cake. I would describe the pizza as super thin overall, including the crust. This gave for a light, but flavorful taste. It was not heavy on the marinara sauce nor the cheese. While portion-wise, I'd call a slice pretty decent, I would definitely order more than one in the future because of how light a slice was! read more
