After a few months I noticed a strange sound and took it in to Cycle paths to have a look. They informed me they'd found a crack in the frame. Without any quibble whatsoever they arranged for a brand new frame and then fully assembled it at no cost. I've taken it in for a service the last two years as I do tend to run the bike into the ground and I must say the mechanic there, Matt, knows his stuff. Each time its like riding a new bike again. The service is extremely good value and if you need parts they dont seem to sting you. I have absolutely no connection to this shop whatsoever but i do know good service when I see it. Would thoroughly recommend.

The Poole extension of Rockets and Rascals has taken the baton handed over by the flagship Plymouth branch and run with it. I'll be honest, I'm biased. I was a regular at the Plymouth store and will be here in Poole now I'm local. They are friendly, helpful, community minded, independent and generally pretty darned good. They brew coffee and build good bikes. They cater to mummies and pushchairs, tourists and hardcore cyclists looking for a caffeine fix. They are not cheap, but they are inexpensive. There is a subtle difference, and one which is worth the extra few pennies. If you are looking for an eclectic cafe with good music, excellent food and outstanding coffee look no further. They even have regular rideouts and a loyalty card scheme. Bonus!

Get out of all the traffic snarl ups, in fact, they might decrease! and see Poole without stress! There aren't many hills in Poole, really it's one big long hill, with a few dips, and a slights increase in gradient in one place.well big a increase really. To get to the beaches though, there's really only Evening Hill, and if my daughter can slog it, I reckon any healthy person can! Ooh, imagine cyclying from Sandbanks to Bournemouth Pier or further, stopping off to have a drink or a swim. Imagine cycling along the Quay and Baiter, and going on to Sandbanks! Along Holes Bay and to Wareham! A place steeped in history. or further to Corfe Castle.or take the Sandbanks ferry to Studland and cycle back to Poole the scenic, opposite way! Ooh, this is really exciting! You can see so much more and stop where you want without needing to park! And no nasty emmissions either. Summer would be revolutionised in Poole! Some say the traffic here is as bad as London.we do get some tail backs! It really is bad at peak times. Then they can show you the correct sort of shoe to correct the pronation. This is great. They sell all the usual running and sports gear but at very high prices! However as the staff know their stuff it could be worth getting shoes here or waiting for a sale. Often people run in the wrong shoes, so shops like this certainly have a place. No fifth star simply because of their prices.
